People will always believe what they want to believe.
I've seen a number of Providers on Twitter say that TER threatened to report them to LE when they asked to be de-listed from here. Is that true?
I have been following a thread about this on Twitter. The.lady.in question posted an authentic looking link.that appears to be from TER admin, but I can't personally verify it. She also failed to include a link to the message she supposedly sent TER, so there is only one side of the story. In conclusion, I can only state that this is a rumor.
I saw this on twitter also. She said she asked to have her ad taken down, then back peddled and said that she asked for a review to be taken down. First said that TER said they were going to contact LE, then back peddled saying they were going to contact a sex trafficking org. So, yeah, sounds like a giant tuna fish.
But why would they lie about this?
Maybe they don't want to be reviewed, would rather that potential clients not have that info, and fabricating crap about TER advances that agenda.
I get it, and I have talked to gals about this before. We are selling a service. Who is going to plunk down hundreds of dollars or more for anything without reading reviews first? I feel that all of the reviews that have been done on me are actual and factual and I have no issues with any of them.
With that it would be like saying there a hooker with medium reviews on web page X police department please do something because I do the reviews.
Since TER is back requests to be delisted were granted immediately with no questions asked.
And just can not see TER is sending this email .
Also so much drama over one provider’s meltdown.
I know of one provider that complained and put that image on her social media. After that it went viral with some other providers retweeting it. It was also posted on reddit in at least 2 subreddits.
it's kind of funny, maybe a week before I saw a provider tweet "hey I just asked TER to delist me and they did, no questions asked!" Then when this provider posted her screenshot of the alleged TER email she quicky changed her tone to "OMG how dare they do that just for asking to be delisted!" No questions asked, even though this new provider said "I have receipts".
We talked about it in another forum, and one of the theories proposed about why the provider went off the deep end go like this.
1. Provider sees the posts that TER is back and that other providers are asking to be delisted.
2. Provider contacts TER and asks to be delisted.
3. TER asks for some kind of verification that Provider is indeed the provider that is listed on TER. Most likely, TER asks her to send an email to them from the email address listed on the TER profile.
4. Provider doesn't have access to said email and gets angry, very angry. Maybe even threatens TER
or
4a. Provider says she doesn't have access to the email address that is listed on the TER profile and says that her "manager" created it
5. Provider goes on her social media and creates this "woe is me, TER is refusing to delist me" tale.
Providers that hate TER and the TOXIC REVIEW CULTURE see her tweet and retweet it. Someone posts it on the sexworker reddits.
The only reason TER would not delist now, that if you can’t claim your profile , like you don’t have an access to your old email anymore and etc . Which is totally makes sense , why would TER delist random profile .
But then again there is no way TER has send this email .
...of the following analogy: if a business owner took issue with Yelp would you think that there’s something wrong with Yelp or is there something wrong with that business?
Yeah, I’d know what I’d think.
OR how about let's flip this. Providers stop asking for screening information, just accept all clients.
Let's go to the TER FAQ on de-listing.
If a provider is de-listed, her TER profile is removed from the database and her reviews can no longer be viewed on TER. Anyone who attempts to browse to the previous address of a de-listed provider's profile is shown "This provider's information is no longer available on TER."
IMPORTANT
De-listed providers are not allowed to post anywhere on TER. Discussions of de-listed providers are not allowed on TER discussion boards.
PROVIDER’S REQUEST
There are many reasons why some providers request to be de-listed. Some of those are: child custody battles, pending legal action, stalker avoidance, retirement, having been recently “outed”, going completely UTR, etc etc. To protect their privacy, the specific reason or reasons why a provider was de-listed are not disclosed to the general public or TER members.
MISCONDUCT
Another small percentage have been banned for improper behavior, flagrant posting violations on the discussion boards, and/or poor behavior in TER chat. However, most providers are banned for review or user account fraud (or both). A provider can and will be banned and delisted for fraud, posting self-reviews, or other rules violations.
CAN ALL PROVIDERS REQUEST TO BE DELISTED?
Rip-off, bait & switch or ROB providers are not de-listed.
WHAT ABOUT NO-SHOWS?
When a provider is accused of being a no show/no call she will not be de-listed. If deposits of money are taken or loans are given to the provider, that is a choice a hobbyist makes. She is not de-listed because of choice made by hobbyists. Since TER’s policy is that a session or meeting must take place in order to write a review these situations cannot be reported in reviews. However, if you were ripped-off in this fashion, you are encouraged to post the information on the appropriate regional discussion board. When making this type of post be prepared for responses from others that did not have the same experience as you had.
