Some time ago, I called a provider who at the time was seeing on a regular basis to scheduled an appointment in the early afternoon for a few days later. I called her the day of the appointment, as she requested about hour before I arrived to her apartment.  Upon arrival, she greeted me warmly but before we got started we sat down to chat for a few minutes. She mentioned that she was on her period and graciously offered me a discount and the opportunity to leave if I wished. I decided to stay and to my surprise it went well and I left satisfied. Since then when I call a provider I think of this and I hope that she will tell me (if she is on her period) that is not a good day for her or something like that and I will find another day.
I was just curious how some of the Gents and Ladies handled this “delicate” situation.  

The funny thing is I called the same Lady the next month and she said with a laugh, that it’s not a good time of the month for her. I picked another day and she more than made up for it.

I believe that honesty is the best policy.  If I'm on my period, I usually tell people trying to schedule that I'm not available for a few days and request that they schedule later.  They usually guess what's going on and we have a laugh over it later.  There was one time that my monthly "friend" showed up in the middle of a session.  I had excused myself to the restroom and much to my surprise, there she was... I ended up offering my client a discount or the chance to leave and he graciously scheduled for another day.  He was sweet enough to realize that I wasn't feeling well and took me out to my favorite Chinese restaurant in lieu of other activities.......

I've discussed this very thing with my Sister Providers, and while some continue to make dates during that time, I prefer not. To each their own, and whatever works..
I know most men cringe just HEARING the word 'period', so I'm trying to 'train' my clients to understand phrases such as "I'm sorry - I'm not booking any appointments that week", or "next week is not a good week for me" or, more often, " that's during my 'OFF' week" or " my week I take off" so they will know what that (usually) means.
Ironically, and I swear, it never fails - I get the most calls or emails during this time! And that's what the others say, too!

I think honesty is the best way to go here. I'm a big big guy, and I would tell the provider that up front in case she didn't want to be with such a guy. I would appreciate the heads up when her visitor arrives, and would gladly re-schedule for a later time. And if it happened during our session, the going to dinner instead is a very classy sentiment. One that I will remember just in case.

Also, providers get more contacts in that time because some of us men are like sharks ... we smell the blood in the water and are just trying to track it down We're hungry and need to feed. Some women don't mind, some men get turned on by it. I'm not sure I trust anything that can bleed for three days and live. On the other hand, my grandma always used to say, "It's a piss poor soldier who can't fight on a bloody battlefield."

In the 20's& 30's of the 20th centenary before oral contraceptives.  Having FS during a woman's period was called a "Spanish Honeymoon" and many married couple preferred it because it was the only time they could have BBFS without having to worry about getting pregnant, which was not always true.  Should knowing this make me feel old?

My first hobby experience actually was something similar...

After months of research and trepidation about my first foray into the hobby, I scheduled a "date" with a well reviewed and fairly well known New York City independent.

Amongst her requirements was a "get to know you" advance period (no pun intended)...dinner and / or drinks...off the clock (not a "dinner date")...so, after she arrived and we exchanged pleasantries, around the corner we went to a nice restaurant in my neighborhood.

Dinner was decent, the wine was fine, and the company was better than both, so the decision was made to continue the date back at my place. I HAD noticed that she excused herself a handful of times during what was a relatively short meal, but I was frankly too nervous and excited to really care. Well, at least I thought it was going to be my first time. On the walk back home she explains that "Aunt Flo" has arrived unexpectedly, more than likely do to a change in contraceptives she was using. She asked if I was still interested in a "date"...I told her to give me a few minutes to think about it while we continued to walk back to my apartment.

Now, as a rule, I wouldn't have sex with a woman on her period (at that point it had only been twice in my life, once unintentionally), and I sure as hell wouldn't have sex with a woman on her period I hardly knew, except to know that she WASN'T monogamous (ummm...hello...blood? Potentially EVERYWHERE??). It wasn't really a debate in my mind regarding if we were going to have sex...I was strategizing how to explain to her that we weren't going to have sex AND that I didn't expect to pay for our "date". (Again, remember...this was my first hobby experience...so I had no idea what the protocol for something like this would be).

Once we arrived at my place I let her know that no, I wasn't interested in partaking. She then explained how she had "lots of toys with her" and that "we could have fun anyway"...exactly the sort of "pressure" I was looking to avoid (I mean, what could possibly be sexy about a bloody dildo?). Any debate about the issue however was cut short by her need to use my bathroom for another check on the "state of affairs", which apparently was not good.

It seemed that the switch in contraceptives had not only triggered her menstrual flow unexpectedly, but with a vengeance. She had already gone through the pad / tampon she had gotten at the restaurant, and was now rifling through my GFs private stash (no, GF and I didn't live together, but she slept there often and keep toiletries in the 2nd bathroom). When she emerged from the water closet she agreed that sex...at least intercourse...was out of the question.

With that, I thanked her for dinner (which had been genuinely enjoyable), called for a Town Car to come pick her up and take her home at my expense, and gave her $50 for her time. She was so grateful for my graciousness that she rewarded me some SERIOUS fooling around while we wanted for the car to arrive...no BJ, everyone’s clothes stayed on, but it was PLENTY hot all the same. I was told a rescheduled date would be worth the call back, but I decided to opt out...I never rescheduled.

I have had sex with women in various stages of thier period.  Suppose it is okay but not the best.  My first provider second vist.  Very inexperinced.  She told me her Aunt Flo was visting.  Well I am 40 something and that kind of threw me.  I certainly was not interested in her Aunt Flo.  Then I got it and asked if she wanted to cancel.  She did not so I stayed.  I am rather large and wear a Magnum condum and since then I have had various providers come up with excuses to not partake of intercourse with me.  So I always wonder if this was an excuse. I think yes maybe.  Anyone else have issues like that happen with an excuse not to do full service?

to what I've heard that many women have a greater sex drive during their period.  If so maybe your clients are just somehow drawn to you gals during this time. Sort of the animal thing.lol
  I've been with several women during this time and other than missing out on DATY which I love, things have been pretty great if the lady feels comfortable.  Just keep an old towel around.
  If I had planned to see a provider for a while or had traveled to see her, say like San Diego, I would hate to walk away and have to waite for another time.
