Usually, it's a combination of a session, followed by some OTC companionship.  Most often dinner, but I've taken one gal (art student) to a museum.  But in a couple of other cases I've taken gals to dinner or lunch where there was no planned session at all, strictly social and/or business advice.  
Just because we met through this profession doesn't mean you can't click with someone and form a friendship.  Of course, these things need to be handled with a lot of care, for all the obvious reasons, but that's another discussion that's been had here many times before.
Personally, I find it enjoyable to navigate around all the challenges of such relationships.  Part of the interest is in exploring a relationship after you've already had sex, instead of pursuing a relationship with the object of having sex.  In this sense (I've said this before here) our little world works backwards from civvy dating.

But you have certainly been underestimating the power of The Mangina.. when you say that they won't pay the donation....

Yeah, small fee for drinks and food. Interesting, but that would take away from the guys who like that associated with the date. I actually do get really long, fully paid dates like those...

Just a theory. I have noticed a bit of a pattern lately. Another provider had her picture pulled Wed. Just my observation that she received complimentary comments from hobbyists while another provider  did not. Maybe the jealous provider reports other providers posts out of jealousy or desperation. My 2 cents. It has been noticed by others some women will promote themselves by whatever means they deem necessary.  The problem is not you!!!

I think its fine to do OTC time with someone you find interesting. As long as both know its OTC only.
I am sure you meet many men who you enjoy there company. Why not enjoy it for free to when you have available time. I hang out with my atf all the time. Sometimes I have to leave though when she has a last minute date; that sucks but I understand though.

I have met many influential people in this business, but most don't need a free date to be a friend. They know if I need advice, I will pay them just like they pay me. Usually, guys you meet here are not shy to send a PM saying "Look girl, wake the fk up with that LLC bullshit" ha ha.

You mean some folks took that literally? I'm not the smartest fella here by any means but anyone should have been able to get the point of you're OP. Kind of like networking people in all kinds of buisness do it all the time, I need advice on concrete I call xxxxx I need advice on plumbing I call my buddy xxxxxx. Maybe grab a couple beers and help me work out the idiosyncrasies of the new mechanical building codes. Guys do it all the time but I'm not gonna ask John for a BJ because I helped him figure  something out.No difference here, just that you happen to be a woman and a provider so folks just assume that you can't have real friends in this hobby world. And they assume that every gal owes them something, not cool!! Heck on the rare occasion a lady contacts me for advice on something I'm so flattered she thought of me I wouldn't dare ask for a return favor other than maybe some advice in the future. Believe it or not guys and gals can actually develop some actual real friendships in this hobby. Or at the least just help eachother because its part of being a decent human.
