I lost weight just by walking 3 miles a day, twice a day, EVERY FUCKING day. I was shocked. I wasn't even trying to lose weight. I got a dog and the weight flew off. BTW, I didn't even need to lose weight. I am 5' 10 and weighed 156. Now I weigh 150. It helps that I don't over eat but everyone has to find their own path. These 4 simple words will guarantee you lose weight - eat less, exercise more. If 4 words are too confusing here is a 2 worder - embrace hunger.

Question... anyone worried about looking bad when you're sore from exercise? I really have no control as someone else is telling me what to do. :(

I'm assuming I look like I'd been riding a horse all day. Trying to avoid this, but I'm trying everything and I'm still waddling lol.

xo

It's your body, and if you are that sore you are overdoing it.  Get a new personal trainer.

but yes, it's too much. I already paid for the month. I may ask to ease off a bit? I explained I can't waddle into a 'meeting' haha.

Walking helps, running makes it worse. Swimming... gonna' go try that. Ugh.

how to be able to move so I don't look like I've been fucking everyone on the block when I go to appointments...

Hope that makes sense. :)

There is nothing wrong with walking six miles a day, and if you like the results then fine, but most men will agree 5' 10" and 150 lbs is not the body that we strive for. I spent most of my life at about that height and weight, and couldn't stand it. I am now up to about 170 and although I do have to watch my weight so as not to get a beer belly, (I drink like a fish) I am so much happier with my body size now.

I've got four words for you too, PGFY, and if four is too many here's a two worder for you FY!!!

Sure sounds rather condescending doesn't it?  I've got news for you, so did your post.

One other thing, you can see exactly what the OP looks like, she is hardly a fat ass who needs workout advice from a twig.

...we all know, if we look beyond one year, what chronic hunger can do to the body.

While in a study of rats, the ones who ate more than they needed lived the shortest life spans, and the rats who ate less than they needed lived longer than those who ate a normal amount, the ones who starve die earliest.

I do come across some problems in loss of appetite; however, it has, in the past, done some serious damage to my body, causing serious weight gain in the end... which, by the way, was much more difficult to lose quickly as the metabolism decreases significantly for a long time after one does not eat nearly enough as they should. If we gain muscle mass the right way, and lose fat the right way, we're set for a steady, healthy weight and frame.

Six lbs is not much to lose, honestly. I've lost more inches than 6 lbs of fat would show in one month. Men also lose weight much faster than women. It's complained about a lot in weight loss programs.

I'd rather not lose weight, but lose fat and gain muscle, and in the end lose inches. I want stamina to give good sex, lift properly, digest properly, and feel amazing every day. When not eating, one gets grumpy, weak, tired, and loses intellectual strength. This can cause poor decision making, lack of intuition/discernment of danger, not to mention the desire to fill that hunger with other unhealthy things to forget about the hunger. This can be dangerous.

My goal in life is not to be 'skinny'. Even if it were my goal, it would not live itself out long enough if I were to go hungry. It can cause cellulite from fluctuation, (when one begins to eat after a long period of hunger and gains weight due to the body going into starvation mode,) ulcers, injuries from working out, (even simple things like walking/running,) and also causes the body to eat away at unintended flesh other than fat, such as organs and skeletal muscle, (ever hurt a tendon? Ouch!) very painful if these things are ruined by hunger.

Be careful. Not sure if you're a dude or a chick, but I wouldn't suggest embracing 'hunger' too much.

this is the third thread you've posted about your trainer. imagine if the entire board did that shit.

And I have to be careful how I plan my days and evening.  I have to run so many miles a day with a day off every three days or so.

So, when I am at home it is easier to plan my training sessions around my other "sessions"!!  If I have a morning appointment, I run in the evenings.. late after my last appointment if I also have an evening one. If you are serious about training, then you have to make adjustments in schedule. The closer I get to a /12 Marathon race or a Marathon... then I will actually block out time for running, regardless of you asks to see me.

If you block out time on a consistent schedule, you have to look at it as an appointment you don't get paid money for.. but you do get paid the benefit of taking care of yourself!

Example... you work out at 8am? Then don't do an appointment at 10am... wait until after 12 noon and after you took some ibuprofen!! LOL

Smooch!

Lea

and I do an hour three times/week, then run/walk 45 mins later that day in order to keep the blood flowing.

I sit down and I get all cramped up. I used to be able to keep myself from being all horribly sore all the time, but I can't do it now lol. And in what I do, I can't be sore like this. :(

My advice is to just stick with it and the soreness with gradually subside. That said, if the soreness continues past a couple of weeks or worsens, that's your body telling you that somethings wrong and I would suggest getting checked out.

I am assuming that your trainer has you either on weights or a high intensity workout, even if you are in decent shape to begin with, those type of workouts are going to make you sore for a while, the trick is to work through the soreness, otherwise you have to start all over again which sucks.Think it's bad in your thirties, try getting out of shape and then going back to the gym in your fifties, I can tell you all about soreness. lol

1. Not eating enough beforehand
2. Not drinking enough water (I already suspected that)
3. Not replenishing with (enough) protein right after the workout.

Picked up some protein shakes and drank water... chazam, today I'm hoppin' along like a jack rabbit ready to boink somethin LOL

Yeah, I feel you on the out of shape then back in the gym part.  I'm not 50, but I'm sure I'll feel ya' then too, LOL

waddles are a lot sexier than wobbles..

If you are just starting to work out, your muscles are going to get much more sore that if you have been exercising regularly.

You should back off a little if you are feeling that much pain. Long term MODERATE exercise is the best for your body. Too much too fast does show results quickly, but can lead to injury and you could end up quitting altogether.

If you don't want to moderate your workouts, try to find a little time (I know impossible, but you asked) before your meeting to do some stretching and some aerobics, getting the blood flow going helps alleviate the muscle pain

incalls at a place with a hot tub/jacuzzi tub until your body gets used to dealing with the onslaught of work. Hot tubs work wonders on sore muscles! :)

Take a glutamine supplement twice a day. It specifically helps remove the acidic acid your muscles are creating when u work them out. Works amazingly well and helps build the muscles you're purposely tearing by working out

I usually have bruises on my legs from MMA style fighting, so don't sweat the small stuff unless your date is not in the bedroom...

lol

I like to read muscle an fitness mag. If your working out alot they had a good article once i read the info. And have remembered other tid bits from personal trainers i dated. One suggest L tyrosine . Another is fish oil or sppon of coconut oil in a hot coffee .the efa s help. Potassium, bananas, 5htp help muscle growth while you sleep ie recovery.
I d be careful workn out so hard its agfecting your mobility like at all. I did my circuit traing routine first tim since like jan. With my personal trainer. I did only a tad more than only half of what i was strong enough to dobefore. If your feeling pain thats a sign to stop.
A nice feeling iny muscles i worked hard i love. But i have canceled many an appt after over doing it , and realizing i cannot do a appt.
def get regular massages during this intense excercize your doing. And drink a gallon water a day. I dont do appt day i meet w trainer or day after. Actually i wouldnt work out hard for 48 hours before work. You can do something easy like three mile jog. I notice i can do a three mile jog day of work cuz it doesnt use my shoulders . There is alot of customers whom do not have addequate upper body or ab strenght to successfully hovee over you to make out or fuck i find more often than not. And then you end up the one in a push up position or plank or just plain using alot arm strenght for duration apt. Theyl lay there while you hold body weight up and kiss them , then they get a bj and again your now goin on twenty min of still being in push up or using upper body neck shoulder an back.  Geez then goin on after twenty theyl suggest 69' and havin the client on top for that is never success. They are so un aware of thier body weight and wether they are squahing you. And they are never limber . Then theres the whole hang head off bed bj, i find most dont grasp that concept as well and have no clue how to girate thier pelvis on thier own to expetience pleasure.i had one guy put dick in mouth my head off bed it can be a chance for u to havw a brwak. He actually put dick in my mouth and freakn just stood motionless! What a turn off some one frigod and not in tpuch w thier own body.

Those guys will be great at directing you to some recovery drink mix or. Advice. Cell mass in red tub silver cap very expensive. Its a night time recovery drink.  You have to try it, and the osteo bi flex..that is in vitamin aisle stop n shop. Dark blue bottle. Stands out. Ask around these body builders and fitness models trainers theyl all have good advice. If youe slackn on the work out day of session. I include my work out so the appt counts as work out. Use leg muscle to hover squat on cock til legs give out on you. Give a hard massage til you get such a strong grip after years n years of massage. Guys are amazed at my grip i graduated chinese school of accupressure finally jan. Tak wong my teacher. He has his student do push ups on grip. You can even sneak push ups in durin the bj. If your walkin is effected you may be fatigued for the appt. Too. Try takn day of n day after off the intense training day.if i were your customer n seen you fatigued from intense excercize id be so dreading how the session will be about to be i d be pissed!

Thanks for the info, I will go through and take a look at this advice. I really think a lot of your replies will help me reach two goals. 1. continue striving for physical goals, and 2. not waddling into an appointment, LOL. Or during a dinner date, haha.

BUT. This is hilarious... whenever the guy has me do anything that involves certain movements, he says, "Well... we've found something you're really good at." I always snicker, bc I know they involve CG and RCG ovements, haha.

So today, he said "Hmmm... I'm noticing a pattern at movements your'e really good at." Yeah, another thrust your hips forward and back, squatting up and down. I asked, "what's consistent?" "Lower back and hips..."

I could not stop laughing and I was sooo tempted to say, "Yeah, that's because I'm usually the one on top." Instead I got a nice look at his a**, realized the other trainer saw me, and I about fainted from embarrassment the rest of the appointment.

He did an example of a 'hooker squat'. I said, "Yours was much nicer. Maybe they can learn from you." oopsie! Almost said 'we'. hehehe
