I've been hypnotized to a very deep state before. It can be a shock to come out of it if it's not done properly. I'd don't think I'd want to do it just for kicks.

I would think so. My experience was that it is very similar to states most of us non-monk folk after serious meditation. So sex... Actually a distraction? Maybe that doesn't make sense. Even 420 sex can be distracting. Hypnosis seems very personal to me.
There are a lot of ways it can be used. Relaxation is just the beginning, but post hypnotic suggestion could be a very interesting form of play, especially if there's some trust. For example, there could be a suggestion that a certain word could trigger arousal in casual conversation between provider and client, and if he doesn't know what the word is, it becomes a new way to anticipate pleasure.
