i prebooked by a couple months and paid a deposit to a high end provider. i occasionally check her social media and noticed she’s going to be unavailable for a few weeks. she’s one of those providers with enhancements that are perfect but as always these type of women they are addicted to getting work done. i don’t want any surprises when she shows up for my session after the latest round of procedures. i don’t think it’s fair for her to take deposits and schedule sessions and then feel she can do whatever with her appearance and i have to accept it for my session. i’m thinking of getting out in front of this potential trainwreck and canceling the session and asking for my deposit back.

I do understand the notion that it seems unfair to book and pay deposit and then she looks different than the pics that got you to book. You knew she had at least some work done when you booked her so you’re not fully against it, just afraid that another procedure will take it too far and you will not be attracted any more. Is that about right?
I think you have to read her deposit policy. If you are still in the timeframe you can cancel without penalty, I’d say do so if you’re that scared about it. I don’t think I would tell her why though. Definitely wouldn’t accuse her of being “addicted” to plastic surgery. You haven’t said anything here to make it sound like you can back that up.
I do understand if her appearance changes drastically it can feel like a B&S. But it’s her life and her elective surgery. She doesn’t need permission. If you’re booking months out, a lot can happen. She could put on 20 pounds or develop a habit and lose 30. She could chop off or change the color of her hair. She could grow or shave a muff.
At the end of the day you pays your money and you takes your chances. If you need deadly accurate photos don’t book months out.
Nothing wrong with canceling depending on what cancellation policy is in place. Again I wouldn’t open the can of worms of telling her why unless you really have to.

That's a whole other level of presumption. If this is what you truly believe about "these" women, perhaps you just shouldn't see them. I have a hunch they won't miss you, or your thoughts about whether they should consult you before any medical procedure.

But asking for your money back is very unprofessional and cringe worthy, imo. Should the woman check with you first about a possible hair color change before your date? Or her getting it cut shorter ? Or her changing her wardrobe or cosmetic style?
You sent the deposit way in advance knowing full well something like this is certainly possible. My advice? Be a gentleman, do the right thing, don't ask for the deposit back and let this be a learning lesson for you moving forward. Just my 2 cents.

Getting the deposit back does not make them not a “gentleman”, if it’s within her window to do so. That’s why those windows exist. People get sick, their plans change, they change their minds whatever. Absolutely nothing wrong with asking for it, if it’s within the cancellation policy.
If she doesn’t have a very clearly stated cancellation policy with time frames and how much notice equals how much deposit is lost, she shouldn’t be taking bookings or deposits so far in advance. But Janet shouldn’t have booked without that policy either so would be screwed if that’s the case.
You very very frequently lean way over to the providers side and err on that side of caution. It is suspicious that it’s always in alias so we can’t really know if you would ever do such a thing in your real life. Are you as much of a nice guy in your personal dealings with all this as you tell everyone else to be? Weird that you always have to be in alias so we can’t see if you’re writing reviews or other board posts laden with misogyny. Just saying.

Honestly, I disagree. I see no issue with asking for the deposit refund as long as the cancellation is outside of the provider's cancellation window, regardless of what the reason is.
Shit happens and sometimes cancellations are necessary and it shouldn't matter to the lady what the reason is as long as her rules are followed.
I am coming from the perspective of most cancellation policies I have seen state they are non refundable, unless the lady cancels the session. I should have been more precise with my wording. In the end I fully agree about following the ladies rules as that is the crucial point. Thanks for the clarification.

it’s a provider i’ve seen several times before…that’s why i stated in my original post that her current enhancements are perfect. also because i’ve seen her before i was confident enough to book that far in advance and pay the deposit

I have booked months in advance for a visiting provider who is in high demand. Many men have. I don't see the need to accuse him of making this up but I guess it's a possibility.

her needing to consult with you about what kind of work she is going to have done. If you decided to your penis enlarged would you feel a need to ask all of the ladies you see regularly if it's okay with them? I think the lesson here is you shouldn't speculate on what her reason for being off is. It's just as possible that she found a customer who wanted to take her on a vacation and has deep enough pockets to do it, or something else equally innocuous. As LaRoche said, since you are a regular, you should be able to cancel and get your deposit back if it's at least three or four days before the session. This gives her time to fill that time slot with somebody else. if she is putting in Clown-tits, then someone who sees her after the time off will probably mention it in a review, then you can make a fully informed decision about whether or not to book.

update: the conversation didn’t go well. i respectfully cancelled and asked for the deposit. after she got disrespectful the gloves came off and i confirmed she’s getting work done on her face. anyhow i’m fighting to get my deposit back. lastly knowing what we know now…would you guys risk an expensive session if you knew a provider was going to get work done on her face right before your session?
takeaway here is that there is no reason to book two months in advance. Too much can happen in the interim.
