Too big to carry in my pocket - and my macbook air does way more, if I'm gonna carry something in a bag.

My office runs both Mac and PC, and generally my Mac experience has been awesome. I also have an iPhone.

1. It cannot run multiple applications at once. With makes it a giant useless tool in my books

2. It will not support flash - which means there's a lot of websites you can't view!

3. I've read it's wifi capabilities leave much wanting.

4. The iPad is run exclusively by a 1ghz single cell processor and has 58 odd gigs of flash memory to work with... that means it's slow!

It could have been awesome, but they really stuck too much to the iphone template and failed to make a usable netbook.

Apple is notorious for releasing updated models way too fast, especially for their 1st gen models.  Alot of times, they release updated models with much more features within a year.

I've been burned a couple of times with Apple.  I bought the first-gen iMac in Jan '06 (CoreDuo), then come June '06 they release an updated model with Core 2 Duo (and I think it was cheaper too).   Also bought a first gen Ipod Touch, wouldn't you know, the next month they release the 2nd gen Touch with more features, and $100 less.  ugh.  I think first gen iPhone buyer went through the same thing.

Wait for 2nd gen so they can work out the design bugs and finish raping the Apple fanboys.

I was playing with one earlier. As much as everyone will try to hate it..... it's no use... you'll buy it cause it's awesome!

Even with the keyboard, it will be lighter than carrying a laptop. If you get it, get the max memory, storage, and the keyboard. I understand there are already 1000s of apps that were designed for it.

You can learn to write (sell) put options against your existing shares. If you structure the trade properly, you can follow it on the way down and make money to boot. Some traders also hedge it with buying options in case it trends upward. You can also sell naked puts but that's not advisable if you are new to this.
