Would you say that knowing people don't suspect you of anything adds or detracts from the experience?  Just curious.

I don't know about you guys, but for me there is nothing like the mix of feelings I experience as I make my way to a lady's hotel room.  The anticipation, anxiety, expectancy, hope, even a dash of fear and paranoia-it all combines into a unique cocktail of emotion that is difficult to replicate elsewhere.  Forgive me for overstating it, but it's one of the precious few moments that cuts right through the repetition and mundanity of everyday life and makes me feel truly alive.  I may be boring and average in nearly every other respect, but in that instant I get to be a roguish character, a true maverick.  I'm a criminal and a lover who brazenly walks past strangers and hotel staff with a sly smile on my face.  Maybe the same people  will see me again in an hour, hair tousled and eyes glazed, and know what I've been up to.  So naughty, so reckless, so damned ALIVE.

That feeling of knowing that we are doing something that is illegal is such a huge rush for me. I might be just as much addicted to that feeling than I am to p*ssy. Oh..and I kinda like to cuddle afterwards as well...

.. And I take that feeling a step further in knowing that I would never be suspected as a "Jane" as I approach her hotel room door. It's exhilarating and exciting and it definitely adds to that moment when she peeks out from behind that door and invites you in ;)

It definitely adds to the experience. I take an almost smug satisfaction as I knock on her door knowing that I won't get any quizzical or curious stares from the housekeeping staff. One less thing to worry about :)

I know for an absolute fact that you have spent considerable time in places with this is 100% legal, and you certainly at least "seemed" to be enjoying yourself.

and yes, having spent even more time in places where this is legal, I have found it is every bit as much fun, perhaps even more than it is here at home.

Yeah, I imagine it does feel very daring and dangerous for most of us, at least for the first couple years or so.  We're taking the risk of getting busted, robbed, mugged, stood up, bait & switched, etc etc etc.  The other 99% of my life is spent working in a nice little office and enjoying various non-daring recreational activities.  And I like it that way.   Maybe some of you guys spend your days surfing shark-infested waters and organizing illicit underground ocelot fights, or maybe you've just been doing this long enough to have stripped it of any romantic musings.  That doesn't mean you have to shit all over the illusion for the rest of us.  For 3 minutes at a time, I get to feel like Han Solo and you can't take that away from me!

I know for an absolute FACT that Jack has seen hookers in places where it was 100% legal to do so and he loved every minute of it, so I felt obligated to throw some shade on his bullshit. If I inadvertently "shit on your illusions" in the process, I offer my sincerest apologies. lol

 
If it makes you feel any better although I don't get any kind of thrill because of the illegality of what we do, but I will confess to occasionally saying to myself over and over again on the short walk to an incall "I'm about to get some pussy, I'm about to get some pussy" which still puts a HUGE smile on my face as I near the incall. lol

WTF does the fact I like to play in CR where it's legal have ANYTHING to do with the fact I also enjoy living an outlawed lifestyle here?  What attracts me about CR is the sheer outrageousness of a totally out in the open hooker circus.  The two are very different, as you know, and each has its charms.

Maybe we don't hobby in the exact same manner, but my research would still be the same length of time whether or not this was legal. I would still read reviews, look at her TER/p411 profile, pm her reviewers, size up the reviewers cred, research her posts/ads, etc regardless of the legality of p4p

 
How much time does ruling out LE really take? From my perspective at least, it never approaches "aggravation" so maybe you can comment on that.

Not that it was some kind of huge deal to me that it's technically illegal.

 
Keep in mind I spend a LOT of time in places where it is 100% legal, and where I don't have to do all this searching online, worrying about fake pics, etc. In places where it's legal you can meet a hooker in a bar, see if you are compatible, have a few drinks, ask her openly with no "code words" what is on the menu and even NEGOTIATE a price. You simply can't do any of that here. I would think just being able to negotiate would tip the scales for you. lol

Thankfully, it being illegal here isn't my thrill maker.   If that was my reason, there are many illegal activities that are much less expensive to play with.

I was going to take a break from p4p while I was there, but decided to have a fling. The anticipation of someone that I didn't know was a big thrill. I do understand how some of you do the one and done thing.  
It wasn't about illegal, because it was legal.

I guess the fact that the number of busts in comparison to the number of guys screwing around is so small that it makes no impression upon me.

 
On the other hand, I got a real Adrenalin rush from escaping the wife's detection time after time (at least until she finally busted me.)

 
Now, no longer having that as a factor, my enjoyment doesn't come from any rush based on beating this or that rap, but rather from enjoying the convivial experience of meeting a lovely person and having a thrilling and intimate time with them.
