For those of you that are health conscious and  into maintaining a good shape, how often do you exercise? Do you prefer strength or aerobic training and what does your routine generally consist of?

Sex is great exercise, if you do it right. It covers many different muscle groups and good cardio.
Just remember to stretch first

i exercise about 3 times a week now, that will increase as i get more fit. i used to workout religiously with my Husband, but we both sort of gave it up during a stressful period (not a good excuse btw) so now we're both out of shape in comparison to what we used to be.

because i can only workout at home, i focus mostly on some light strength training with free weights, stretching, and cardio which consists of either jogging in place or jumping rope. i have a detailed routine that my Husband prepared for me (he's a fitness buff), alternating which muscle groups i work on each day. it's far too detailed to list here tho...did you have any specific fitness questions, or just curious about others' exercise habits?

I do about 30 min of Cardio, followed by some strength exercises . sit ups, pushups, pull ups... weight... all preceeded by streatching and that sort of stuff... all in all about an hour 4-5 times a week.... and it is just not enough...

When I was running... I did about 2 hours a day - 7 days a week!  gettin old is a bitch!

Pretty much every day now that I'm semi retired and my job is fairly strenuous. Carried 1000lbs of shingles up a 15' ladder (not all at the same time!LOL) today and was surprised i could do it. Go me!

4 days a week.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday.
MWF:  60 min on elliptical, 40 min of weights, swim 2000 yards (about 35 min) in AM.  On M&W, swimmming workout 6:30-8 in eve, approx 4000 meters long course, no Friday evening workout
Sat:  8:30 to 10 AM, 3500 to 4500 yards short course swimming.

some days that's as far as I get (it's mental exercise)...LOL

I do get fairly regular excercise though.
I play golf twice a week.
When I play, I walk when I can and always carry my clubs.
So thats 3-4 miles carrying 25-30 lbs. several times a week.

Just my opinion...
