This is an old question that's been answered I'm sure. But yeah, I've never had an STD that I know of, and I've only been hobbying for under a year.

I haven't had an STD test so I figure I should probably get one just to get a clean bill of health. But if I do end up with results that I caught something or another, what's the procedure?

Is it expected that you call everybody who you've seen? I only see a provider maybe every couple months, so it would seem pretty random to call one of them. Also if you do call, I'd imagine that'd be awkward. But I'd imagine to cover bases it's considered the right thing?

Just curious, anyone been in that position, what do you think?


While I'm at it, might as well go all out here, until I turn 26 later this year I'm still on my parent's health insurance. And... for some reason, well they pay the health insurance bill so I know they'd ask me about the sex test thing showing up. Or I could just wait five or six months when they're not covering me. Ha, what do you think about that related awkwardness?

It is the right thing to do. Yes it was damn awkward, but you do want you must to try to stop what you got from spreading and to protect the heath of those you have played with. How you deal with the awkwardness is you just do it.

But for your information it was 4 providers and my wife. I got it from a lady that preformed a BBBJ the day before I got my last clean test. Luckily, when seeing providers I check monthly as I had no symptoms and I only spread it to my wife. I do not BBFS anyone anymore not even my wife.  

Just for the record I an STD free at this time. My current heath issues are not related to any STD.

But I have also contacted everyone I saw around last year when I thought I had a possible infection. 2 weeks later, when the results came back it turned out to be negative...  :S

Seems that rashes can come from other stuff, such as dry skin and shit like that. Don't be like me jumping on things too quickly.

hadn't even been with wife.  I gave the one a heads up.  She calmed me, thanked me for the notice...  did not think it was anything as we'd played safe.  Still I was relieved when the result came back negitive for a STD...   unfortunately was positive for a UTI.  I'd never had one & being immune suppressed it spead dangerously & since the bacteria was drug resistant I ended up hospitalized on IV antibiotics...  twice before it was knocked out.   I was so miserable, I was not even horny with no relief for 3 months...
