I don’t think it’s easy to get back to p411 with the hold the newspaper thing, who reads an actual newspaper?
Lol

Now you are sounding like many of the guys here. Not wanting to send their info and a  downpayment on top of that .

I had to reverify & go find a newspaper. I’ve been around a long time. I took offense to it a first, and then I realized p411 is worth the price of admission. I get booked dates that pay in full to me that’s priceless.

I found a newspaper at my nearest major chain pharmacy, in a stand near the door. It was a couple of dollars. Like Bia said, it was extremely worth the trouble due to bringing in regular, high-quality bookings.

To prove the date, can't you just post a pic of yourself next to a computer display of the front page from today or yesterday?

All the news that fits, we print.

picked up an old-school newspaper in years!

I doubt very much there will be any literal newspapers left in ten years, but I thought that ten years ago, so who knows?

I don't like reading from a screen, which is why paper books are still a thing rather than kindles.

When I go out to eat lunch alone, I always bring a newspaper.   I'm starting to get weird looks and comments from people on account of it.

grocery stores.. I was a little offended at first since I had literally just had my photos updated and received an email about it 3 days prior. I told her I don't get the paper and haven't seen one in forever and she suggested I go to the grocery store or a CVS / Walgreens to get their weekly coupon paper. Then I remembered I get that crap in my mail for the grocery store and used that and it worked out perfect.

I subscribed to the Atlanta Journal for over 25 years. They stopped printing on December 31. I now get the NYT delivered and read it every day.

I get it. I don’t either. But if you care enough, it’s not that hard. They are still everywhere.

Newspapers, coupon mailers, junk mail and all that garbage doesn't really exist in Panamá. Poor people in a developing country aren't going to pay for a piece of paper with one day's worth of news (or even a week's worth) when they can take their cheap smartphones to a public park or sit outside a business and use the wifi for free to read the news any time they want. And the cities aren't interested having all that useless trash to have to collect and dispose of. Rich people here read the news on their expensive smartphones. It's really only the few tourists who have a nostalgia for actual paper newspapers that buy them... if they can find them. I had to walk around the city for 6km to find a newspaper to take the damn picture with - my 2yr notarized lease agreement, utility bill showing a year's worth of historical usage at this apartment and permanent residency card didn't seem to cut it for proving that I actually f**king live here. But a ChatGPT hallucination told P411 that I could find a newspaper at any grocery, hotel or corner store so that's what I had to do😤

Good point about which part of the proof can be faked. The widely published current news can't be faked ("Jan 2026 - Secretary of State Kissinger Returns from Asia trip." doesn't prove that it's Jan 2026. "Feb 2026 - Superbowl LX results!" can be checked by anyone to prove that the news and date is accurate.).
.
So my next question is ... What about a recent monthly (Forbes, Hustler, National Geographic ...) or weekly (Time, Newsweek, National Enquirer [found at supermarket checkouts!], ...) issue of an easily found popular magazine?
.
Do they accept recent magazines instead of a daily newspaper?

They do not. It has to be that day’s newspaper. It can’t be yesterday‘s newspaper.

Papers are getting kind of rare.

Starbuck's always used to have them, but got rid of them about 5 years ago.

Even places like Walgreens and CVS, no longer.

And at the airport:   Hudson News seldom carried papers despite their freakin" name!    (By the way, they changed it from Hudson News to just Hudson, I guess so that they don't look silly.

If there are still any daily papers ten years from now, I'll be surprised.

Sure harder because people don’t read them much. But unless you’re in a more desolate location, you can find them. For example, most college campuses still have racks out with the student run papers.  Just to be clear, I don’t agree with the requirement because it shouldn’t be that hard and it is a dated request. I’m just pointing out that if you care enough, you can figure it out. Other places you can find them if a student newspaper isn’t acceptable are bookstores and libraries.

My first job when I was 12 was delivering newspapers. I had a route in the neighborhood. I would get a stack and have to trifold them. On Sundays I also had inserts. I stuffed the bag that went on my bicycle. I rode around and tossed them just like the paperboy video game. Sundays were tough though. My bag got so heavy I needed a little running start before hopping on my bicycle and peddling.

I wonder how many of us had this great life experience? I sure did. Luckily for me my dad drove the Sunday morning route with me throwing papers out of the back of our station wagon (I'm old!) since they were too heavy for my bike. I learned a lot of 'people skills' on my monthly collections days.

I had a paper route when I was a kid. I delivered the Long Island Press. And yes, Sundays were rough.
