but it seems to me the basic system of reviews for a free membership is flawed. That said I dont have a solution. As the staff can attest I've been a member for some time but have not posted much and have prefered to pay for my membership. I find it confusing how someone can see providers multiple times a month but need to save the reliativly small membership fee for posting reviews. I think that this must make for either reviewers modifing existing reviews or just making them up...any thoughts...
As one who earns his occasional VIP status through reviews, I say this hobby is expensive enough, withuot having to pay for one's research. Not to mention having to explain another bill to one's SO.I think a good mix of ways to qualify does work to keep a broader mix of folks on this site and the occasional abuse is not too destructive.Now if it turns out that LE is using this method, then I will rescind my opinion.
Like you I also don't post a lot of reviews. I have been paying the $50.00 every three months. When I do post a review it seems to take forever to show up. I currently have one I submitted more then two weeks ago and haven't seen it show up yet. I've tried contacting TER put no response to three inquiries. I get the feeling unless I post reviews once a week they don't believe me.
If you would like to check out the status of your reviews, go the Account Manager. It is located in the VIP members section( and yes we are changing it to read Member section). Click on the "My Reviews" link and you will se the status of al of the reviews that you have submitted.If you have a question about a review after checking out this section, send an e-mail to [email protected] will be answered within 24 hours.
How about a comp subscription for the ladies? I don't review anyone and since I'd like to see what the brouhaha is all about, how about a "trial" like HBO gives. Sort of free this weekend only. CD
