Sorry, it just makes no sense. "High end" means has a good reputation too and the pattern you described doesn't fit that. I don't know the Phoenix scene, but in most areas it's tough now and good clients don't get NCNS and other stuff. Could you be on the naughty list?

then in my horny opinion, the simplest and most effective way to become Ray is to cough up some additional incentive for the flaky bitch... (ie: benjamins).  But that won't fix her flaky nature since it doesn't get to the root cause of it.

However, I too agree with the above poster. Me thinks you are shopping on BP or craigslist? I haven't noticed $1000+ an hour ladies flaking as much as you make it sound like.  A tiny fraction prolly do, but that's a significant money per hour for them to walk away from. lol

Keep in mind that your mere 3 experiences do not make a trend "what so ever"... It's probably just a statistical fluctuation at this point.
 
Try seeing more high end providers and see if you still think the same.

For some ridiculous reeason providers seem to think high-end means some flashy website and professional glamor shots and not their actions and behavior. Stick with it and you will figure it out. It takes little time.

Unfortunately I think that your problme is not uncommon in this business.  I have experienced it before and it doesn't seem to change regardless of doing research before booking.

because I am lucky to see even 2 guys a week in my local area with my screening and schedule constraints, but many women do not have this problem. Even with higher rates they can still see 8-10 guys a week, leaving them not too worried about replacing an appt. In 3 years I have had to cancel TWICE, and in both cases extra time was given as a courtesy..wish I could say the same for guys who cancel and give nothing in return.

There is no sure fire way to avoid this I am afraid. Even with tons of reviews, you simply can't predict what a lady will do in any given situation. My advice is to be sure and post a ncns alert or review on every board that will allow it. Get the word out.

From what I can tell, many ladies use the term "high end" to describe themselves. Who wouldn't want to be described with words that connote "I'm the best and I can charge higher prices because I am so awesome"... but wait! Just because she describes herself that way, or charges the higher rates does not mean she is good at keeping appointments. As you are finding out, usual good business practices don't necessarily apply here in Hobby-ville.

I'm sure you always check her reviews and any other comments available. It takes a bit of digging to tease out the not so pleasant details. I'm with the woman on this thread who says to post those no-shows on the boards for all to see. If she has a legit reason for a no-show ("The dog ate my homework??!) then she can rebut. We are our own "Better Business Bureau", after all.

Did you ever consider the fact that you booked 3 "high-end" providers, all from the same area, all for the same time & place, & in their checking of references, came across the fact that you booked all three of them?? I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, but they probably found out they were all booked for the same date/time, hence the cancellations, etc.

could you be doing something to scare them? I'm not meaning to say you have some kind of character flaw or there's something wrong with you. But....if it keeps happening to you maybe you are saying something in email or via phone that is scaring the ladies away? I never cancel unless I'm sick. Reasons to make me say no (I may cancel but I will say exactly why) to an appt are vulgar conversation or rate discussion in email or via phone before we have even met. Pushy or domineering behavior will also make me cancel, as well as being manipulative.

If you can think of something that might be putting the ladies off- try avoiding it and see if your luck changes. Of course, there are many flakes in this biz too so it might not be you at all.
