It's the end of the year, so just running the numbers.. I only started seeing providers in Mid October.. but have spent a bit over $5,000 since then, not counting optional gifts and tips.. of that about half went to one provider for two long visits.. about $1,000 to another for 3 visits total time.. is a bit over 18 hours since Mid October.. I see an average of about $280 an hour..
I did not include the exorbitant expenses for the strippers I saw earler this year.. That was wasted money.. The money spent for providers was not wasted at all..
So I am simply curious about what sort of dollars were spent by others. If I annualize this.. I would expect to spend about $20,000 over the next year if I don't cut back (and at this rate, I may..) it has been a fun last 3 months though.

For argument's sake let's say the average visit (for the rest of us) is $400, that's 50 visits per year. Hence, you could ask us if we dip our stick approximately once per week...
I will volunteer my answer: "no".
Another way is to take your (approximate) $1500/month (for the last three months) and again compute 4 visits per month - same result: "no".
Draw your own conclusions....

What I will suggest is that you'll go through the 31 flavors of hookers and by this time next year you'll be looking for something different than what you are seeking today.
Frankly some fellas will drop 5k over a session or two. Others seek many sessions for those same dollars. You'll find what works for you....and then you won't be concerned about what anyone else is spending.

but rather how much you can afford. If you can spend $20 grand on P4P and not feel guilty then I don't see a problem. If, on the other hand, you are worried about it then you probably need to reign things in.

I was making a generalization. You're trying to compare what one guy spends to what another guy spends. I'm simply saying there are other considerations.
If I spent $8k but that was 20% of my AGI or 10% of my net worth, I probably have a problem. If I spent $200k, and it's 1% of my AGI, well that's just pocket change.

A guy with an SO, steps out once or twice a month@ 300/hr. That puts spending at around 4-8K . yr in round numbers. Entirely reasonable expense for many, high quotient of fun.
So there, I am guessing that scenario might be the middle of the bell curve.
