I get asked all the time if I am a top or a bottom????

I looked about the newbie board for a definition as it applies to straight male/female sex and found none..

Does top = cowgirl and bottom = mish or am I missing  something here..

Clueless in Atlanta....

To straight Male/Female sex. I've only seen it in reference to pre-op transexuals. Since you are post-op, (A woman) it probably wouldn't apply to you, either.
Personally, I like my women on the top or the bottom, or both if we have enough time and ambition.

It applies to male/male actions and BDSM plays.  In your case, my guess is they don't realize what "post-op" means.

when used in reference to bdsm, the terms/positions top and bottom have nothing to do with dominance and submission. top refers to someone who weilds the whip or positionally controls the action during activities, while bottom refers to the person who is more comfortable "taking" it, however very often the bottom is the one who truly controls all activities not to mention the relationship in general.

Dominance and submission are an entirely different ball of wax altogether, and refer to overall personality characteristics rather than kinky or sexual roles. this coming from a longtime lifestyle submissive and slave.

forgive the somewhat off-topic rant, it's just a personal pet peeve when folks equate top/bottom with Dom/sub.

They know that the dominant party wants something, and their ability to get what they want depends upon the willingness of the submissive party to meet their wants.

It's kind of counter intuitive but anyone who has raised kids know what I am talking about.

In your case, this is referring to male/male interactions...which doesn't apply.  People are definitely asking you this because they are confused about you and/or what being post-op means.

I took a look at your CityVibe ad and your website, and while I figured it out pretty quickly at CityVibe...this aspect wasn't so obvious on your website.  You might try making your status a little more clear anyplace you advertise.

You might try responding to those questions by letting men know that you are post-op, and possibly even sending them a link to a good informational site that explains in detail what that means.

You should really ask on the TS board for advice from people who might have dealt more with this situation.

Actually, I looked at her website again and it looks like she does some BDSM plays.  So it could be both - misunderstanding of "post-op", and domme/sub role which she switches.

When a client asks a transsexual provider if she is a "top" or a "bottom", he wants to know if she is the insertive or receptive partner, nothing more. Dominance/submission is an entirely different ball of (dripping, hot) wax :-)

Asking a post-op if she is a top doesn't make much sense; either he doesn't realize you are a post-op, or doesn't know what it means, or maybe he wants to know if you use a strap-on. Or maybe he's just trying to find out if you offer bottom greek, now that you have another port of entry. Sorry, not trying to be a crude smart-ass (it just comes naturally).

I think you nailed this one, clarence... I think there are lots of guys (me included) who are intrigued by a passable TS, but who have no desire to take it in the butt themselves.

I agree with clarence - I don't think the person asking OP about top or bottom realizes what a post-op really is...bottom is the only option!

Thank to you all..
Good answers.. I do know many have no clue as to the term "post op".. Even when clearly defined that I am not TS..
BTW I don't see very many guys at all who are into TS providers as I don't have what they are looking for..
My visitors are just regular 'hobbyist' who see other female providers..

Once again Thanks..
