First, an ad with a link but no pic is worthless.

Now, to my point...do you read the entire ad?  Some are quite lengthy and while many are very well written and cute, I've come to view them the following way...

1) look at the pic (hey!  that's a thousand words right there)
2) search for the rates
3)skim for any services other than GFE

any other words are too many.

Ok guys, what say you?

Many girls here don't know how to write an ad, and that makes sense, as it isn't their forte but some are fantastic at it.

Some just put WAY too much text or are sloppily written and look unprofessional.

They just need to stick to the who/what/when/where/how much, a little something to show personality, and then make sure they a killer pic in the ad that draws attention.

Run it through spell and grammar check and they should be good 2 go.

...because it will often tell me if the provider isn't for me so then she goes into the "buh-bye" pile which further simplifies my ad viewing next time.

Pics aren't a deal breaker because if I'm interested in her I will always check her website and there will be plenty of pics there to help me make a final decision.

If she happens to be a shamu than I appreciate her NOT posting a pic and putting something like BBWSally on her ad to save me the effort of even clicking her link and saving me the eyebleach.

but seriously, a pic is preferred, but certainly not a deal breaker, as long as once I do click on her link I like what I see. In all honesty though, although I was joking above, if a woman has terms like Mature, Milfy, BBW, voluptuous or the like in her ad I really won't bother clicking on her link.

When just browsing, opening up an ad, of course I'll say Pic, that leads to me clicking on her review link and checking out rates/reviews.

My ads are never written the same way twice. I like to have fun creating them, and at times they can be a bit lengthy. Most of the time, my ads are based around a theme or an erotic tale using myself and the potential client as the main characters. it's a part of me and my personality. In the end, I always include the logistics.
I have seen ads that are exquisitely well written, and wish I could write like that. I have also seen ads that stay the same each week word for word, but may include a new photo or a new visiting city

Besides the optics I like to get a sense of a lady's persona.
The first thing I look for after reading an ad is the link to the reviews. I go from there. If a good review history I'll check out the link to her site or ads

But how do you know the ad copy is a true representation of her persona (or is even written by her)? If she has a blog or a Twitter account I think that gives me a better read on her, otherwise I just skim through it.

Maybe look for ads that are in between with a touch of professionalism and daily language? Containing to the point info.  Perhaps, reviews are the best form of ads and the content of the ad aren't as important. That is, if reviews are accurate and credible.

but I did have a session where one of Boston's Top escorts laughed so hard for 90 minutes that she only charged me $ instead of her normal $$$.

Funny? I laughed too but didn't have any problem concentrating on the prize, her juicy cookie. I would have been happy with full rate, but she refused.

You, Julia, I'd arm wrestle ... lol

A good ad motivates one to further effort.

Ads without a picture may be worthless to you but if interesting they cause me to go to the the review, the web-site or P411 for more information.   Rates in an add seems double edged.  Low they attract price sensitive clients or drive away the prospect who wants a GFE.  Too high they may scare away prospects who may be willing to stretch if they read the reviews and visit the web site.

Most important:  Will the ad motivate me to check the review for services and then motivate me to go to the web site.  At the Web site I MUST be able to see a gallery without a hassle.  I find "Special Pricing" in an add always get my attention to proceed.

As Julia stated it is a question of targeting the audience you want to attract and there should be consistency throughout. The ad, web site, P411 and other sites  should project the same "story".

If ladies feel like penning a Nobel worthy prose of literature who am I to discourage them from enjoying themselves? if it makes them feel better I'm all for it.

Just be aware though that we guys are very literal. Pics first and foremost then pricing then we look for acronyms (i.e. BBBJ, DATY, DFK...)

The rest of the text we skim through. Think Dept. of Personnel employees skimming through hundreds of resumes! LOL...

Now, this is just in my experience and site analytics...lol BUT those who skim through my sites before sending a request, 99% of the time do not get scheduled or end up cancelling, because they overlooked some thing that is conflicting with whatever detail in their request/schedule.

On the very rare occasion (like 2-3 times a year, *maybe*) someone PMs from an ad, I know 100% that there will be a conflict somewhere too.

I am curious too, if the ad skimmers have a high rate of booking success because they don't with me! LO

Dear Julia:
I am just wondering with respect to your research on your prospective friends, does Ter have information that would tell you the average age, educational background and professional profiles on your target audience? Would they also have information regarding what magazines, news websites and other critical information you would need to craft the perfect advertisement to lure them to you?  Finally If you had to hazard a guess, what would be the typical profile of the ideal hobbyist that you would like to attract?  Would he be in certain clubs and organizations? Would he have certain connections that you would be interested in knowing more about?Or would the experiences be more monetary in nature if we are truly speaking from a genuine perspective?  Just asking what do you entertain when you craft the perfect ad to lure that specific client in.

I skim the ads until I've made a decision to see a woman.  Then I read everything available on her.

The notable exception is if I am traveling somewhere for one night only and I am confused about who to call.  Then I would read an entire ad up front.

what really turns me off is when a woman posts the exact same copy over and over again on different days.  that tells me she's too unimaginative, or too unconnected with her audience, to come up with something in the moment to get our interest.

and while i disagree that "any other words are too many," because i didn't need remedial reading in school unlike some of the posters here, i do think that some women tend to be too bellicose in their verbiage.  a few choice descriptive phrases to set you apart would be nice, but you're not anais nin here.   hell, you're not even jackie collins!

even if you are upscale, catering to elite, and sensual, stunning, voluptuous, affectionate, passionate, unique with a flair for living who strives to create emotional connections, so is every other hooker writing an ad that day.

the ads that try to be different are usually the ones that i read.  the rest, i've read before.  even if i haven't

Want to know why? Here's the scoop.... it gets me bookings. More so than ANY other ad I have ever written. EVER.

SO, instead of wracking my brain trying to be creative and different whenever I decide to advertise, lol, to entertain those who based on my analytics, are fantasy bookers because years later, they still haven't booked an appointment, my ad works for those who are ready to book now, if not very soon.

My 6+ month old ad connects well with the audience who I am targeting, those who will actually book an appointment. ;) Work smarter, not harder. Or as we say in the south, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. ;) lo

For "upscale" girls the ads and especially web pages are almost always written by professional copywriters. The reason you see the same buzz words is because the same people are writing the copy. Plagiarism is rampant. Haven't you  ever seen a girl who did not sound like the girl in the ad when you talked to her in person?

If I'm looking for someone new, first I look at pictures.  When I have selected the ones who look good to me, I go back and skim their ads, looking for buzzwords that make or break the deal for me (for instance, "2 girl special" will drive me away, but "I have a girlfriend who can join us" will suck me in).  After skimming, I go back and read the full ads of the ladies who now have my full attention.  That usually leaves me with anywhere from 3 to 6 potential new friends, and the next step is to google the phone numbers and see what kind of info pops up.  The best result, of course, is if they have TER reviews to help me make my final decision.

I love the ads that show personality. I've had the most fun in my brief time in this world with women who are irreverent, sassy wise asses. I suppose everyone has a different market segment, but the "elite courtesan" ones don't do it for me.

But yes, having the general info rates, incall/outcall & location is a time saver

Targeting, segmentation, and positioning aren't just part of corporate America, many providers do this as well.

If you just want sex, you may opt for the ladies who are very brief in their ads/on their websites and do not seek the social aspect of providing.  But for the ladies seeking the men who are looking for ladies they can connect with mentally as well, it is the wordy ladies who will get the worm.

I actually just had someone extend a date for tomorrow because after reading my blog he wanted more time to talk and laugh with me.  And that's exactly the kind of person I market myself to.

Wow, what a bunch of wordy and crazy smart hookers we have around here ~ hats off to all of the ladies, whatever/whomever their target market may be!
