My 1 cent worth.

Is your desired business model mostly 1 or 2 hour sessions or mostly dinner date, overnights, longer engagements? (Neither is better or worse but they are different). In general if I am looking for a multi-hour/multi-day date I will expect far more from a website then for a 1 or 2 hour session. For a longer date I need to get a much better idea of what a lady is like outside of the bedroom so just some pics, and rates won't work. I want to see that she has put thought and effort into the site.

It is pleasing to the eye and easy to read.

You have lots of nice photos, rate, location and contact info as well as a nicely written introduction.

Some gals have very elaborate sites with tons of information and doo-dads, and some of them do that very well, but others not so much.

I'm more impressed with a compact site done well than an elaborate site that is hard to use or otherwise not very much fun to look at.

really seeking in a GFE provider, in the most part.  I honestly hear from about 90% of my clients that they decided to see me based on the way my website was done, way my ads are written and because my photos are not too flashy and overly photo-shopped, so that they show the real me and not a "made up" me.  What they see and read is what they get when they come and see me and that pleases them and usually they kind of already expected they would get as such, before they arrived.  They had felt sure they wouldn't get ripped off, a lady who didn't look like her photos or a bunch of BS, by coming to me.  They are always happy. I wish other providers would take up my way of doing their advertising and not stress so much on the "professional" way.  Ladies, don't be afraid to show the prospective clients a bit more of yourself, in your websites, ads and photos!  Showing your stats, a bunch of professional, sexy photos and stating what you are offering, does not tell a hopeful client "who" you are or what they think they may get when the door is opened.  Understand?

By the way, I am doing great, as far as biz goes and have no complaints!  The economy is NOT hurting me.

If you are lady who travels, and wants to have clients all over the country/world, a website is essential. If you want to retain clients, a website is a good tool for guys to find you if they have lost touch. Can keep clients up to date on any announcements or changes.  As well, like with any business a website validates you as a serious business person.

A complete and thorough website will often ad in the chemistry between a lady and her clients.

I have mulled over design layouts, content, extras, color schemes and so much more over the years, but I always end up with a product I love and one my clients say they enjoy. It's important to me my clients/friends have an enjoyable and unique experience from the first time they read my ad until the final kiss good night.

I actually just re-designed my website and launched it yesterday. So far so good. Many compliments so far and no bugs!!!!

If you have good reviews here on TER your website is not all that important to me.  If you don't have reviews, or only a few, I will use your website as one of the determining factors in deciding if you are for real and worth rolling the dice on.  

One of my UTR favs has no TER presence at all but when I saw her Craig's List ad a few years ago and responded she sent me a link to her website.  I was impressed enough to book with her immediately and we have been seeing each other ever since.

Let me esplain:

1) Your web developers creativity with Flash is a real turn off for me because site takes ever to load.

2) Most hobbyst's are looking for photos, services provided, rate, etc. and majority would like to get in and get out.

3) Web forms are non starter. Email is fine.

4) Password protected photos. What's up with that?

5) Stamp size photos enlarging to a stamp size photo, who came up with that brilliant idea. Understand your need for privacy, privacy by obscurity is not a good option for this business. There are numerous methods to protect your privacy these days.

6) What is the purpose of posting a link that requires a password to get in. If you are looking for new business, it would not work now, would it?

Use "easy to do business with". I am not saying reduce or eliminate screening. Make it less onerous. If you have list of questions infringing on my privacy, I am moving on. I will not give you name of my first born, or my uncle.

Please try and respect our time we will do likewise in return.

I am glad someone finally posted this as a topic of conversation. There are so many poorly designed sites out there! I work for a website development firm (www.ccawebdesign.com) and the bottom line is everyone has different expectations and artistic opinions. Over the last 10 years I’ve build countless sites and the most important attribute is that the site is clean and easy to navigate. Nothing is worse than having a client or potential client leave your site feeling frustrated because they could find what they are looking for. As long as the site is laid out well and it’s easy to find information, it should be accepted well.

Another important part is making sure the pictures are of high quality (and in this industry, accurate). Color schemes, sounds, flash animation, etc. are pretty much all based on the likes and dislikes of the owner; although, it’s very easy to place too much importance on sound and flash animation. They need to be used with tact and caution! A website is a visual tool in an artistic form, and just like any form of art, it leaves the user with a feeling which can be either good or bad.

In my opinion, in this industry, it’s most important for a website to be clean, show accurate pictures and give the users easy access to what they are looking for. From a marketing standpoint, you want it to set you apart from your competition.

PS:  jaydalee, your site very nice! I don’t see any real need to change it unless you simply want something to draw more clients. But overall it’s great!  

As long as it has all the necessary info so we don't have to play 20 questions and make each other all nervous and the pictures are accurate and a fair representation of the provider... life is good.

Probably different strokes for different folks, but frankly I like more information.  I read about you before I look at the pictures - ok I might glance at the gallery to make sure we're a fit first - but then I read about you.

I don't read lists of services offered and I'm not sure why a lot of gals post those.  I read schedule pricing, etc.  If you have a blog tab I read that too.

I don't generally care if there are ten pictures or 50.  If there are 10 that are up to date and accurate (and hopefully sexy and flattering) perfect.  If there are 20 or more that's fine too.  Just don't only have pictures that were taken 10 years ago.  (I don't even mind a recent, playful iPhone pic ...).

Make sure there is location information.

There are some really great sites out there.  I'm not a particular fan of the most common gals site/host because the formatting is bad and the tabs are usually not filled out.
