I actually owned a massage parlor for a while. The girls gave me the door fee and they kept the tips. There are places however that also take a"rental" fee from each girl. They take this amount until the rent is paid. Also in some of the AMPS the girls are working off a debt. Once all is said and done they can make a pretty good amount of money, but the house split can be huge until all debts are paid. This is why you see the girls living at the amps; of course they pay rent to live there.
They would never lie, would they? They've never lied about 'us/ladies' here have they?
Read the articles in the Prov Journal re: AMPs. Read the URI thesis by Melanie Shapiro/Donna Hughes used to lobby for the loophole closing in RI. Read them with an open mind and some cynicism.
The hypocrisy, contradiction, incorrect quoting, (IMO criminal) use of 'children', 'underage' and 'slaves' in their slanderous, agenda-driven propaganda is both despicable and evil. Read about these 'victims/slaves' being interviewed at a sub-shop afraid to go to work for fear of being arrested. Also read that no one under the age of 30 has been arrested since the loophole closed in Nov '09.
Because no non-asian provider's ever been victimized or exploited, right? And your vast knowledge (of AMPs) tells you that these conditions exist blatantly and exclusively at all said businesses without question? Please (still leave cookies for Santa?). Point your guilt-ridden, pious finger elsewhere.
If any group of people should be skeptical of the 'hype' the print/news media, right-wing, religious wackos put forth, we here should top that list. Just telling you from experience, investigate for yourself prior to making such an accusation.
One of the replies to this thread is joannamarch.net She previously worked at an AMP (according to her reply). Her input on this would be 'informative' would it not?
I worked at a MP in WI for almost a year, the door fee was equal to the tip we received, so I it was a 50/50 split, plus any "extras" we would sometimes receive from regulars or others who tipped beyond the "flat rate". We also receieved $7 for every "booking" we had, that would come in the form of a check every 2 wks.... not a bad set-up at all actually
