What's your favorite hotel when it comes to donating and the hobby of meeting chariable ladies? I'm referring mostly to chains, but if you know of a good independent somewhere, give a shout.
I look for jacuzzi suites that are not too cheesy like the rent-by-the-hour kind or the theme kind. I also like LCD TVs, upgraded bedding and provided terry cloth robes (they take up too much room in the suitcase). But I can't honestly say I have ever found one place that meets all criteria.
Comfort Inn and their other "choice hotels" have reasonably prices jacuzzi suites in most cities. But the other amenities are lacking. The Westin has the other features, but not much in the tubbing area.
Ladies, feel free to chime in on places you like to meet generous men and their white envelopes all ready for addressing and sending in to your favorite causes.
And remember, "Do not Distrub" means an angel has earned its wings.
Since I've never been one to care too much about a Jacuzzi, I like the Hilton family of hotels the best. Once you hit the Diamond level on Hilton, you get the best rooms that include things such as terry cloth robes and in-room refrigerators. They also give you free water and let you choose extras such as free breakfast or extra airline miles.
The have several different brands such as Hilton, Hilton Garden, Doubletree and Embassy Suites. The Hilton Garden is usually very reasonable and gives free internet access. I also like the fact that you get both hotel points and airline miles. I probably get one free plane ticket a year just in the miles I get at Hilton.
Sometimes I will stay at Marriott Hotels but they are usually more expensive and they don't treat you as well as Hilton.
As long as it has good room service, a balcony, and serves good coffee, I am a happy girl. I like to have a balcony because, as a smoker, I detest the way a hotel room smells after even one cigarette in the room. The rooms are so stuffy, it doesn't take much at all to make the room smell bad. I can only imagine how unpleasnt the odor must be for a non-smoker to walk into a smoking room.
But more importantly, its all about the cofee. (A girl has to have her priorities) In my opinion, Doubletree has the BEST coffee :o )
I've only had one session where there was a jacizzi in the room -- that was a double with Sidney Starr and Angelina, and the tub was a nice feature.
The only problem with the smaller chains -- Comfort Inns et al -- is that coming and going is a little more conspicuous because there usually aren't people in the lobby.
I love a great bed and it MUST be clean. I usually stay at 4 star but 3 star will suffice. My personal pleasure is 5 star! What can I say, I love luxury.
Generally good prices and service. I have an American Express Hilton card that racks up points quickly for free lodging and airfare as needed. My only gripe is the lack of international locations compared to chains like Marriott. Looking forward to the opening of Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya in 2008 so I'll have a good place to stay on trips.
Many upscale hotels offer "day rates" (often at half the prevailing regular rate), ostensibly for the business person needing to have an office or place to shower after a morning flight into town and an evening flight out.
