TER General Board

I just wanted to express how much TER has improved my life. In addition to the obvious; screening and making the hobby safer for everyone. I find some of the boards on the site very interesting ie. the PR board; a totally unmoderated forum to say whatever is bugging you.

On to my question.

For the guys: Do you ever give your TER handle as a reference? Why or why not?

For the ladies: Would you accept a TER handle alone as a reference? Why or why not?

I agree with you wholeheartedly about the value of TER to the hobby, but also for the personal connections which are formed through it. I have made several personal friendships as well as meeting some wonderful women through TER and the boards. "Relationships" formed on the boards have led to dates which has led to meeting someone(s) with whom I already had a comfort and interest level. This place is priceless.

I have given my TER handle as a part of my initial contact email early on but I stopped doing that. I had a provider become very upset with me because of a (good) review that I wrote for another lady. I have also been very active on the boards lately (that will be slowing down now). That made me think - do I want the ladies I will be contacting or spending time with to become annoyed with me because of my political posts? Because of reviews I've written for others? Because of opinions expressed here? Well - the problem is that he ladies that know me know how I think, how I communicate. They all have figured out my TER handle anyway..... and, thankfully, they seem to enjoy and appreciate my posts and reviews....

Cheers

Gregory

Just a correction: The PR board is not for posting anything that bugs you. As it is said in the name it is for posting about Politics and religion. Simply a battle field for those arrogant rights and lefts, Evils and Saints to have a safe cyber war!

As for your questions if you search this board with keywords "TER handle, refrence, etc." from 1000 days ago you will find the answers

And Yes TER is the best.

Best to you,..

I want them to be able to read my reviews and any posts and that can help them get an idea of who I am.
I don't post under an alias so everything I write can be attributed to me. I say what I feel and I don't hide what I think.

If they don't want to see me because of something I wrote, so be it. But that hasn't been the case. As a matter of fact, most of the ladies I have seen, have said that my posts, and my presence on the boards made it very easy to get a feel for what I like and who I was before meeting.

Just my opinion...

Depends on the situation at hand; If I communicate via a PM it gives the lady a chance to read a few of my reviews. I feel it is important & helpful that a lady can see what it is that I like & determine if we will be compatible. I am very honest in my reviews. I am been very fortunate to have found TER..It has made this endeavor so much more enjoyable.

The last seven ladies I've had dates with, have been ladies whom I have gotten to know a little from the boards, so they knew who I was anyway. That's one of the great things about these boards. You get to know personalities long before you actually meet. There are several more ladies that I have flirted with, and have actually flirted back. I fully intend to see these ladies whenever the opportunities present themselves.

If there is a lady who does not have a lot of board presence, I would also give her my TER handle. She may want to read my reviews or my posts. We do our research, and we should afford the ladies the same consideration.

Most ladies wont accept a TER handle as the only source of a reference.  Anyone can say they are "TER name here".  Unless they PM through this system, there is no way to prove it.

Have a great weekend,

Kari

The only problem with using a TER handle is anyone can use another person’s handle.  The only way for a provider to verify it’s your handle is to exchange TER PM’s.  The person using someone else’s handle could say they are no longer a paying member and doesn’t have access to TER PM.  Unless the provider already knows you, how would she know you are not using someone else’s handle?

in getting to know the gentleman I am going to see. I will read any posts to whatever forums he is active on and read his reviews. This helps me know if this gentleman and I will get along..

I always mention in a phone conversation anything that I may see that would mke me ill suited to him...Age, looks activities and so on...I believe in being up-front so that nobody is disappointed.

It is never the only thing I use but if you are an all around nice guy it sure does help.

All you nice gentlemen check us ladies out so why shouldn't we be afforded the same option..

Kisses Haley

I would do that only if the gentlemen posted reviews and contacted me ON TER, you must understand anyone can use your handle when they privatly email, If you contact a provider thru PM on TER and have legit reviews with a provider here and her website, we can do "our" reference check just by contacting previous providers you've seen..I don't know about anyone else, but for me, this is great, it's easy, no fuss no muss!

Hey - I'm with you 100%. I guess its mostly the discussion of politics that injects drama into this place. I am regretting ever participating in that. What's the purpose? You only make enemies. You only participate in or create drama. Then, this factionalism seeps over onto this board as well.
And the hobby, or sex in general, is way more important, at least in this context.

The whole reason I have been in this lifestyle is to avoid drama. We all have something special in common here. I am gong to try *really hard* to avoid mixing it up with anyone here in the future. There are enough others who seem to enjoy that sport.....

Cheers -

Gregory

I generally indicate my handle as a reference to where I found the Lady but I'd never consider that any seasoned provider would take that as a sole reference. And I'd probably be warey of anyone who did.

They might use that to cross-check references from other providers by checking reviews (if posted). Or, as some have stated, to get a general idea of just how crazy I am. Let's face it.... hobbyists are suspicious of providers with no reviews so why wouldn't they be suspicious of anyone with no posted reviews?

Being able to post to non-hobby related issues/topics is just an added feature that TER provides. The fact that you're able to use them to "vent" or make a point is your option.

To some their handle is their alter-ego. An opportunity to say things they might not in public.

So my own bottom line is that I do use my handle with the hopes that the provider will eventually grab my other handle. :)

I want to know how the gentleman behaves with other providers. Is he safe? Is he clean? Someone can sound intelligent, nice and gentle on the boards but perhaps he is an ax-murdering lunatic, or a lawyer in real life (like Ted Bundy).

Hugs,
Ciara

I will use my ter handle as part of an introductory email. As some other posts have mentioned it gives the ladies a chance to get an idea of what I'm like. I don't use an alias, I have nothing to hide.
