I view it as a sort of reward (that sounds kind of condescending though, and its not meant to be) to the gentlemen who were among the first to take a chance on seeing me. When I was new, my rates were lower, and those gentlemen who took the risk of seeing the 'new girl' will continue to enjoy the rate they paid the first time they saw me, no matter how often I raise my rates. I see it as fair, and a benefit they deserve for being the ones who helped me build a reputation in the first place.
Every lady is different however, and a short note to her along the lines of "I notice your rates have gone up, do you grandfather those who have seen you before?" would not be in the least rude, and will let you know where you stand before you show up.
I've only been seriously hobbying since the beginning of the year, so this hasn't come up much and I'm not sure of the SOP.
One experienced traveling provider I'd seen a couple times upped her rate and I actually put her new rate in the envelope but she insisted on me taking back the extra since I was established/grandfathered at her original rate. She told me that is SOP. I even tried to get her to keep it as a tip and she refused and tucked the extra in my pants( which is one of many reasons she is an ATF of mine ).
Anyway, the dilemma I face is that I scheduled a future appt with a traveling provider a couple weeks ago who will only be in town a few days. At the time her rates were at the very high end of my tolerence but her reviews are thru the roof so I decided to treat myself anyway! LOL But now two weeks later I see that she has raised her rates over 40% on her site. OUCH!
I assume I am grandfathered in at the rate when we set the appt up, certainly at least for this appt. Is that correct? I know I probably should ask her but I am torn as to whether that would more likely have her saying the new rate applies or not. I'm not sure if I'd cancel or not if she insisted on the new rate - it is soo much higher tho.
she would grandfather you in at the rate that existed when you set the appointment. While it would be great if she did honor that rate; it would be terrible to get there and find out otherwise.
so, the girl should offer the price when you set up the date. usually I will confirm the rate to my gent once he contacts me and he is screened to be real. so there is no embarrassing money talk later.
i did raise once long time ago and those long term regulars of course only need to pay what they paid at the begining even though they later paid my current rate and tell me thats cab fee.
I think we treat gents well and the more quality business come to us. its a wonderful circle.
i wont judge the girl keeping raise her rate but its not always a good idea to change too much and too soon.

Did you check her site to see if there is any disclosure by her new donation as far as grandfathering? I think you just should go ahead and ask if her current donation applies to you, a previous friend.
