Getting back into the hobbyconfused_smile

I have been in the hobby for many years.  The past eight I have been inactive.  Most of the wonderful people I used to hobby with have a) retired b) were international c) were very nice and didn't post.

So, that presents a current problem.  Getting back in with what appears to be non-negotiable need for provider references non-existent.  I left the semiconductor industry back then and have not had to work so I also do not have any business to call...just home.

How would the providers on here suggest I get back into the hobby so that you feel comfortable?

Find a lady who hosts in her home, that way you know she is legit, and a lot of ladies will make an exception for gents like you under those circumstances. The reason being is that residential ncall is lower risk for the lady providing, because most depts don't go after them unless they have some outstanding BW or are performing other activities which are not allowed.

Thanks MissMarie...do I need to make sure she will give me a recommendation as well?  I surely never thought I would be in this position.

Why are you getting back?  I just try to get out of it.

To tell you the truth, there are days when just getting together with someone new is nice, and this is an uncomplicated way to meet someone that has no strings attached and no hurt feelings if either party doesn't like it.

Most of the time, I would just enjoy the company of someone to an LA theater show, a concert, or other nice event...you usually don't find people who just go out without attachments, and sometimes, you may have a great enough time that you want to take it to the next step and the evening last longer.

To me, it is more about companionship, sharing with someone who isn't in your circle so you can be completely honest, and being able to bounce ideas off of people with new thought patterns. And if you are someone in a position in life where many have been responsible for you at work for their livelihoods as well as at home, just the escape of a few hours or a few days with someone who these responsibilities aren't attached to and you can just enjoy being out and gone is a major plus.  Does that make any sense?
