I was able to chat with customer service at date-check regarding this issue.  I was told that in order to access the new account I would have to pay a $39 transfer fee given the fact I missed the original transfer deadline.  Needless to say I'm done with that site.  If anyone finds a better resolution please let me know.

Anyone knows? They seem to change their website. I purchased lifetime membership on there. But when I log in today, the webpage says "ACCESS PROHIBITED." With their new website, all my account info, membership, references, favorites are lost ... Has anyone else been dealing with the same situation? And what should we do? Thanks!

transfer to the new updated site the membership. (the references would be transferred)
contact them by email

There's another thread on the same subject from a few days ago (see link below).  If you didn't ask to have your account transferred last year when they had both websites active, then you will have to contact DC.  Your old account has not been lost.  Another poster mentioned that they will charge a transfer fee, since the grace period has expired

I too paid for lifetime and made several transfer requests during the grace period but they were all ignored.  I refuse be extorted for more money.

I've been unable to login to my account. No one at Date-Check has ever replied to my numerous login requests. I finally gave up on Date-Check, and only use P411 and TER.

wileysretreat, I'm sorry to hear of your unacceptable issues with Date-Check!

P411 is the only screening site I use for verification, and of course, TER. I am extremely satisfied with both because of their incredible support staff, and user-friendly websites.

Below is the website link for Preferred411.

Thanks Robbin, I already use p411 but DC was a decent site to see who was touring.  At any rate I'm not willing to pay a $39 transfer rate.

yea i have issue with DC too, i also had lifetime membership...I was thinking getting life-time membership with P411 now it looks likely more possible.....

I was able to get my lifetime membership transferred last month, but my references were wiped out. Only a couple of the providers who I've seen are up on the new site anyway.

Starting over with references wouldn't be a big deal if the overall utility of the site is maintained. But that mostly depends on the number of providers who will be using the new site, and at this point things aren't encouraging. Some great ones, but just a small number.

Date-Check is known for having a large number of inactive provider profiles up, but I'm surprised they didn't do more to make sure more of the active ones got transferred.

I figure I've gotten my money's worth with four years of "lifetime" membership, so there's no point in being outraged. I'll probably end up joining P411 at some point unless Date-Check gets its act together.

References have not been wiped out, after the transfer.  I also have a lifetime membership that was transferred over several months ago and when I inquired, I was told that they are no longer visible to members like on the old site.

I haven't tried using DC for verification in the past few months, but if they don't get their act together pretty quickly, I'm sure they are going to lose a lot of business to P411.

And whenever I've attempted to contact customer service, I don't get a response.

It's whatever. The interface on that site burned my retinas.

I did the transfer the last week of Dec. But never received any response. I have been back and forth via e-mail with someone named Chloe about 15 times. She finally manually reset my username and password. I still couldn't log in. She assured me nothing was wrong with my accountand and that she successfully logged into my account from 3 different computers. I was able to log in once and wasn't impressed, but I didn't have much time. Now I can't log in again. I hate losing all those references I had on there, but guess I will have to build them back up on 411. This is just too frustrating!
