Often the woman who will be contacting your former playmate will ask if there is something distinguising to remind the former playmate of who you are.
I usually write the former playmate and let her know that I am asking her to be a reference or will be asking her to be a reference.  I also give her the chance to tell me she would rather not be a reference (never happened, but I try not to take something for granted).
I had the opposite sort of happen a few days ago.  I had seen a provider named Jade in a three way over a year ago. She is a good writer (I posted one of her poems about 5 weeks ago) and we kept corresponding for a while.  I moved here a year ago and had not heard from her.  When we were corresponding she told me her actual first name.
Well three days ago I got an email from her using her real name and for the life of me I could not remember who *she* was.  I finally got it.  I know three women with her name, each in a different city.
 Worked out all right.

if providers claim to delete all info on clients after the visit, how are they then able to remember that client when another provider requests a reference?

on them that they can't possibly forget you.

Just my opinion...

In my full-time job it is my responsibility to remember every detail about a client, but due to confidentiality I can not write it down.
Translate the ability to remember details and the necessity to remember to providers and you have your answer.

I'm really bad with names.  When it comes to recalling clients I've met. I can recall events very easily...plus it doesn't hurt if they fun too! : )
Funny, I have a hard time recalling a person in the 'real world' even after I just met them.

Hi,

I am horrible with real world people meetings too !

It is probably due to the high level of intimacy in this business that other meetings pale in comparison.

I just assume that the gals keep the (hopefully anonymous) e-mail addy, TER handle, and/or fake name we use for email signatures on file. Of course, we have no way of knowing what they actually keep on file, but I hope that's all.

Its easy to remember ..
we screen carefully.. sometimes the email just sticks..

When references are exchanged. its simple..

Provider : Ciara, [email protected] said he saw you in Cleveland.. Did you see him  ? Is he kewl and not a cop "

Ciara  " Yes I saw him, hes very kewl, no games, not a cop..

The reference process is simple...
