I BCC when emailing clients and I've never made the mistake of CC'ing (that would not be good).
Decided to share even though this group is mostly composed of experts...
Several months ago, one of my favorite providers emailed us (plural) announcing her upcoming visit to our town. Sadly, she CCed (instead of BCCing) the intended recipients...
Have to admit that I had not noticed this (read & deleted the email) but became aware of it when another client emailed the entire list (IN THE CLEAR) saying "did you see what she has done?"... Then, another guy followed up again in the clear with a WTF.
Needless to say, the poor woman went underground and has not been heard from since. I hope that she is well & operating under a different name (would be curious to find out). Personally, I have no ill feelings - she was (is) a very nice person.
Now, in reading those emails I noticed that nearly 1/3 of the folks used email addresses that looked civvie ([email protected]). Now, either they were clever (fake names) or they were not. Your guess?
Question for the providers: do you create email lists so that your email is addressed to "friends" (or whatever) and your computer silently translates the list to individual addresses? Hopefully you do
Life is full of interesting events...
who wanted to be contacted out of the blue would be. If she was an established provider I hope she didnt quit the hobby or change names over that though seems a little extreme
I have used an alternate names and multiple emails for Years. I use one for all sexual sites including this one.
for just this type of occurrence. Didn't know to do that for a while when I first started, so a few providers have an email that can lead directly back to me albeit with effort. I have always used a separate email for hobby. I now use an anonymous email service.. check out Hide My Ass, Anonymous Speech, etc.. Register under a pseudonym and virtually untraceable. The most anonymous generally aren't free though, so you can use a visa gift card to pay anonymously. And by the way, your IP address is probably logged every time you access sites that are hobby-related; you might want to try using the Tor Network to beat that. Depends upon your level of paranoia. Truth, I trust providers and fellow hobbyists.. but LE can (and is) looking as well.
Once to one of my favorite girls. She was mortified and considered quitting but was convinced to change her mind. Anyone who uses a personal or business email address for this is an idiot and I don't feel sorry for them.
Beyond that is the infamous story of a M&G host who inadvertently sent all the email addresses of his guests to a reporter. The consequences of that were more serious.
Of course providers should not mass email without using bcc, and clients should be using hobby emails but not everyone knows this or follows it.....it happens. I have been the recipient of mass emails, and while my addy was a hobby email, many others obviously were not. Im not just talking personal emails like you mentioned, but organizational and company emails. (how about [email protected], or .edu, etc.)
I have also seen it happen when it was obviously a virus where an email was sent to everyone in the providers address book (including herself at her real name!)
How about group texting? I have also received group texts from a provider announcing her visit. A quick google search of some of the phone numbers on her group list gave me way too much info about some of my fellow hobbyists.
Discretion is not a given in this hobby. Not everyone knows how to play. Keep yourself safe.

e-mail, phone, laptop and my real name is not escalade1964.
And presumably you don't drive an escalade, nor were you born in 196
I BCC when emailing clients and I've never made the mistake of CC'ing (that would not be good).
but it wouldn't be the end of the world for me either. I would create another email address-that simple. And anyone that uses their email addy from work or with their real name on it is an idiot....
I dont write guys numbers or names down anywhere. or email much with them. I make the odd and curiuos request for them to call and hang up before the machine picks up. I went on the ridiculously long walk today and i was able to return every call and text whilst walking my dog because every one s number was a click away dialed back through call log or a text,. No finding paper and pen and writing names n numbers down to have to sit and dial {which in mind feels like forever and a grueling annoying task} It was great i got my schedule lined up for next few days and a few farther away too, while enjoying the sun and going out . i love to multi task, only multi tasking to do while typing is smoke a cigarette or eat. boooring.
I walked like 5 miles and also talked to tons of people!
as for your email , I always get emails from a mans name, then the text in email says a totally different name. proberly most the guys use fake names for this sorta thing. on emails too.
well the lesson here is use a seperate hobby email and a seperate phone. or notify her before hand please do not include me in any mass mailing lists.
they have a great feature in yahoo mail you can have a signature that says "please do not add me to mass email lists. thank you- ron or whatever"
and automatically every escort you ever meet will see the signature attached to all out going mail .
I hate receiving mass emails let alone send mass emails... So impersonal!!!!
how many were on the list?
Maybe some guys sent nasty emails to her personally. You never know as exposing a name can really tick some people off.
I hope she is well too. Shit happens, but that's definitely a *check* *double-check* *triple-check* then *check one last time* situation; however, again. Shit happens. Still feel bad for the girl and the dudes.

If someone needs a reference, they are asked to find out what hotel, city, and month/year the guy saw me in/at, and something about him that would jog my memory. I do not provide refs based on emal and cell phone records, because I simply don't have the patience to keep that shit, and those things change monthly for some men. I want to be sure I am providing a reference based on the physical appearance and other things about the right person, and an email or phone number tells me nothing unless I make notes. Aint happening.
but to really fuck up you need a computer.
Nevertheless, it is just one more reason why gals should not do this kind of spam activity. If they have permission from a client to notify them of upcoming visits, then an individual email is OK, but mass sending of information demeans the provider in the eyes of most hobbyists, and opens the door for just this kind of calamity.
By the way, an individualized email to that client will get a much better response than spam. This business is, after all, about stoking the male ego (among other things). Believe me you DO have the time to do that. If not, then something is wrong with your marketing.
And that said, if a hobbyist doesn't have an anonymous hobby email, then shame on him too.
When I was just starting the Hobby... a wannabe client used a SHARED email. When the gal responded, wife found it!! And he hadn't even done anything yet! Yet he blames the provider & stalked her for some time. I saw her again in that interval but she since disappeared.
I get forwarded SPAM from correspondents occasionally... usually unverified lies BTW... and then a flood of "reply all" messages.
I never use group emails. I only forward verified things & to recipients who are interested.
