Hi everyone,

This is a topic about sending/receiving deposits, but let's please stay on topic and don't hijack this post with your opinion about said deposits. Thank you!! ;)

Currently, I ask for a Visa or Amazon gift card. I am very part time so this is fine for me. But lately, clients are having trouble finding gift cards in stores, or they are being questioned a lot when they pay for them (even at holiday time!), etc.

My question is:
For those of us that send deposits (gentlemen +Lopaw :) or receive (ladies), what is the easiest and most discrete way that you have found to send or receive it?

Or even physical gift ideas that can be used as a deposit, I am very part time so it's not a huge amount. I am open to creativity!

My DM's and email are open if you do not want to post here.

Thank you!!!

I have been through every possible option over the years!

Zelle is not very discreet, but works if real identities are shared. Cashapp and Venmo both work - provided the provider account has not been flagged - and she may not know if she has been flagged. Amazon gift cards are easy and discreet; they seem to work fairly well. Bitcoin is a major pain in the ass.

If I've missed a method (other than no deposit is the easiest deposit), please enlighten me.

The problem with gift cards is if she cancels, I don't want a returned gift card, I want my money back.

Options:

Cashapp, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, Bitcoin, ApplyPay, Direct deposit via bank, or snail mail cash.

Mindfulness is most important. I prefer you send as a gift between friends.  The majority of my friends know my full real name it’s better. Bitcoin is a pain in the ass.

Amazon giftcards, air miles, hotel points, and shopping sprees have been gifted it’s pretty simple.

- Your accounts will be terminated if they post for…

Anything illegal.

Not sure but I have never had an issue finding an Amazon GC and never once have been questioned when doing so. I can’t imagine anyone doing that as they are bought as gifts all the time in Target, drug stores, etc.
.
I find them to be the most discreet and easy as I pay for them in cash and send by protonmail.
.
On a side note, Happy New Year’s and I am greatly looking forward to seeing you yet again in 2026 Callie!

Maybe - I didn't ask if stores were "out" or just not there at all! I always see them when I am out at CVS, etc. But 3 people have reported issues so I know it's not just me. 2 in NYC, 1 in FL.

I want to make it easy and discreet for both of us (sharing my real info is not an option).

And yes Robert, can't wait! I'll be only seeing existing friends after today but you are already in my circle, as you know ;)

Looking forward to other replies too - thank you all!

Venmo and CashApp. The one I used was the one specified by the provider. So far there have been no problems using these services.

A few years back I used PayPal for a deposit (again, it was specified by the provider). But that was some time ago. There were no problems then. If I’m not mistaken, I think Venmo is owned by PayPal.

…the issues your recent clients faced do not become ubiquitous.

The easiest way I’ve found is a GC to amazon or any other vendor, or a prepaid visa card. The lady was always able to quickly verify the funds and confirm the appointment. The local big box grocery store sells GC’s for probably 200 retailers, including amazon, and they give double points for GC purchases. The points are good for fuel discounts. It’s been a win for me all the way around.

I have never had the slightest bit of trouble getting an amazon card, nor faced any questions when doing so. It’s been a while since I got one though, I hope that’s not some new thing that’s going to continue being a problem. I’m really curious about the trouble your clients faced. For one thing, questions from whom? I’m guessing questions from cashiers, or amazon or an SO or…??

Please indulge me a bit playing devil’s advocate here: is there any chance that they were just saying they couldn’t get a GC in an attempt to wriggle out of sending the deposit?

I’ve used zelle a few times and it is very convenient. As Master Zen mentioned, that’s for when real ID is known. From what I’ve read, it’s very difficult, if not impossible, to use zelle anonymously. IMO we are fast approaching the time when gubmint intrusion will become a significant hobby problem where zelle is concerned. It will effect providers first, but will soon be a problem for all of us.

There have been a few times when I was planning far enough ahead to send cash deposits. Put it in a birthday card or something and fedex it. You have tracking and confirmed delivery and can insure it. Not very convenient but it works when the only other way the lady accepts deposits is through those cash apps that I don’t have.

Zelle is easy but it's off the table since real names are shown in the transaction record.

I have a shared Amazon account so i can't do anything online Amazon GC only a store bought one.

I've used Venmo and it's preferred.

I don't touch Cash app. I looked into setting up an account a few years back until I saw all the negative reviews.

Years ago, TER used TrustCash (TC).  Search the forums (General, Newbie, etc.) for TrustCash. Basically, a vendor (TER, Provider, etc.) issues an invoice with some code numbers to the client. The client could go into almost any bank and pay cash to the bank and present the invoice. The bank would then EFT the cash payment to the vendor (using the code numbers to ID the vendor and the relevant accounts).
.
The vendor is anonymous to the bank. The client is anonymous to the bank. Voila!  There was probably a transaction fee in there someplace but I don't remember the amounts.
.
Except for the fact that TrustCash is no longer active, it's a good idea.
.
EDIT: Search both TrustCash (one word) and Trust Cash (two words) to find previous posts.

I recently went on a quest (unsuccessfully) for a specific brand of gift card.  But, it was a good education on the best places to find a wide variety of gift cards.

I found that grocery stores (Krogers, Albertsons, etc.) stock a wide array of gift cards.  Target has a fair selection as well.

I also have never been challenged when purchasing a gift card.  Imagined exchange:  "Excuse me sir, what are you going to use this gift card for?"  "Uh, as a gift."

And digital cash is as close as you can get with a deposit. Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, or CashApp. Personally, as the business owner, it’s in your best interest to accept all four. As a customer, if you don’t accept one of the ones I have and it’s overly complicated, I’m dipping out.

I don't like using a gift card because if you cancel, I'm not actually getting my money back. I'm getting the return of something I wouldn't otherwise have bought in the first place.

Why not just buy a Master Card or Visa Gift Card?   She can buy whatever she wants and if it is returned---you can spend it like cash......

I prefer to use cashapp which i have linked to my separate checking account. Haven't had a problem so far

Its real easy so listen up.

If you dont want to be hiding on this forum, using aliases, because some wrecking ball has your info and is now asking for blackmail money....

Cash only
Burner phone
Burner plate for vehicle

Doesnt matter what the ho says.

Better safe than sorry.

 Better safe than sorry.

"Burner plate for the vehicle"?  Is this really safe????  A simple traffic stop could turn into a complicated and messy situation.

This dude is acting like he is doing a pro hit for the gawd damn mafia than paying to get a BJ. This guy needs to stop doing so many drugs and seek professional help for this level of delusional paranoia. Good grief. And yes, a simple traffic stop with "burner plates" will get you in a lot of hot water. Do a simple google search before taking advice from this yahooligan.

For all the noobs:
See a reputable provider that has been in the biz for more than a hot minute. Follow her rules. Have a good time.
That is it. That is the whole list.

Happy New Year!!!

Its easy to do these days you can have plates made online.

I live in Los Angeles. Do traffic stops even exist since Covid?

in which you can order license plates thru a non-gov vendor and NOT register them within the state they where you live if you plan on using them on an automobile, cycle etc..

If it were the case that one could do that, it would negate the whole purpose of vehicle/ownership registration.

I am.  60.  You sound stupid af trying to justify using bogus plates on an auto.  It's OK to admit you said something stupid, take the loss and move on.

Its not your age its your mental state. 60 isnt that old

Whats truly stupid is focusing in on one element of someone elses routine and making a big deal of it. You do you. Ill do me. Im just sharing a small part of my routine, shouldnt bother you in the slightest.

Yet here you are....

....morons advising people to do stupid things
....hearing about folks molesting animals
....hearing folks boast about molesting animals and planning on doing it again

Here is what went down.

I shared with yall how i do things. You can like it or not like it. Take notes or dont.

Maybe its not for you. Maybe its too advanced for you. Maybe you dont have shit to lose and dont care. Maybe i do.

So once again. You do you. Ill do me. What works for me may not work for you. But it is damn telling when the words i type on here cause you to get all OCD and start feeling some type of way.

Some of yall need therapy, or more.

For all the noobs that don't want to convert a misdemeanor into a felony. The below is the google AI response to "what is the legal status of having license plates for you car made by some online 3rd party company rather than using the plates provided by the State's DMV?"

Note particularly that the poster making the suggestion does live in one of the states indicated as allowing plates to be purchased from approved online vendors. However it's not clear that is actually what he is talking about so before someone take the advice check your own State's laws and perhaps ask a lawyer. Or if you're standing in line at a coffee shop, Duncan's Doughnuts or convenience store and a cop is there just bounce the idea off him. Don't say you're looking for burner plates, just that someone told you it's okay to order plates from somewhere other than the DMV and see how they react.

Using a third-party company to make custom plates that
look like official state plates but aren't DMV-issued is generally illegal, as it can lead to felony charges, fines, and vehicle impoundment, even if they have your correct number; you must use the plate issued by your state's DMV, though some states allow decorative, non-official front plates (no characters) where required plates aren't needed, or approved digital/specialty plates through official channels.
Why it's Illegal

Counterfeiting: Faking official state plates, even with correct numbers, creates a falsified government document, which is a serious crime.
Obscuring Identity: Plates not issued by the DMV can't be verified by law enforcement or license plate readers, hindering official tracking.
State Laws: Washington state law specifically prohibits displaying plates not issued by the Director and using covers or frames that alter them.

What You Can Do (with State Approval)

Official Personalized Plates: Order custom text plates directly through your state's DMV (like Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) for Washington).
Decorative Front Plates: In states not requiring front plates, you can often display a decorative plate (like a euro-style) as long as it doesn't have numbers or state markings that could be mistaken for official plates.
Digital Plates: Some states (like CA, AZ, TX) allow official digital license plates from approved vendors like Reviver.

Consequences of Using Fake Plates

Fines & Misdemeanors: You can face significant traffic tickets, gross misdemeanor charges, and heavy fines.
Vehicle Impoundment: Law enforcement can seize your car as evidence.
Felony Charges: Depending on the state, using counterfeit plates can be a felony, leading to jail time.

In Summary: Stick to plates issued by your state's Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or authorized specialty plates; third-party replicas of official plates are a risky and illegal gamble.

But my initial reaction here is that the idea/post probably is in the running for SPOTY award.

Once again, i live in los angeles

Many, many people in the car culture have extra plates. Its very common. Cops around here do not pull you over unless you are doing something ridiculous and even then its iffy.

Im not too worried about it. You shouldnt be either.

Here is what AI said about this situation:

These guys are kooks dont listen to them.

At least twice a month I get asked this question by some joker at the Lard Lad while I’m just trying to get my morning donut. They try to play it smooth but I always know when it’s a John worried about an escort running his plates and figuring out who he is. I used to ask them for any good back channel info, until somehow word of that got back to my captain and I ended up scraping all the gum off the desks and chairs at the precinct.  That was a lousy week, let me tell ya. Although I did get to try some new flavors I never had before, so all’s well that ends well.

I was thinking the same thing as GS about the danger or even need of using "burner plates."
.
Then it occurred to me ... "Gee, officer. Here's my license and registration. I know my own license plate, it's ###-###. Oh my gosh! Some crook must have stolen my plates and is off committing crimes some place! The switcheroo must have happened when I was parked at the massage parlor parking lot, I mean, library. Quick! Put out an APB for ###-###!"
.
(Has anyone ever gotten a vanity plate with "###-###"? (Some states allow symbols.))

...using them in connection with committing a crime can be a felony.   Yeah, you're not robbing a bank or kidnapping someone but if you pulled a stunt like this and got pinched with stolen plates, especially picking up a sTreet walker or car daTe....any idea where the DA is going to try and shove those?  Maybe that's the part that excites you?

BTW, where in hell would you get "burner" plates if not stealing them?  Are you going to tell us you make your own?

To be honest paying in cash at the time of the meeting is more problematic.

Not all Ho’s are here to blackmail you. Some of us just want to make you smile. I’ve been on this board for a very long time now and have never done anything that would tarnish my reputation. All ho’s are not created equally.

I hope you have a good criminal attorney because what was a misdemeanor now graduated to a felony due to your burner plates. 🤦🏽‍♀️

As a provider who has required a deposit to book, since 2010 my ATF’s are Cashapp & Venmo - Send as a gift between friends.

If you don’t do deposits why hijack her thread repeatedly it’s rude AF.

Happy 2026! I tried to dm you.

Curious about your comment about cash being problematic. Is this for longer stays where the costs run into the tens of Ks?
-Hoot.

I know you are partial to burner plates, but instead of having to get in & out of the car to make the exchange, here is a better way.... but I suggest you don't do it in Florida.  You are probably covered in California based upon your previous comments.  lol

Thats what im talking about. Nice find.

Ill be more specific. I like burner plated only when dealing with korgs that provide parking AND for gals that i know have a SO hanging around at times

I go as safe as i feel i need to be. The trolls on this board made it out to be bigger than it is.

Basically no problem with it and most providers will accept.   I have heard of some problems with foreigners trying to get them delivered, but not domestically.

CashApp also works, but may disclose more info than the provider wants.

In my experience, a lot of the friction around deposits isn’t really about which method is used, it’s about how structured the business behind it is.

One thing that made deposits much easier for me long-term was formalizing my work through an LLC (then S-Corp). That single step opened up options that simply aren’t available when everything is informal or ad hoc. It doesn’t mean throwing discretion out the window. It means separating personal identity from business operations.

How a business is structured, and where it’s structured, also matters. With the right setup, providers can maintain a high degree of anonymity while still operating professionally. Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive, but they do require intention and planning. So to my colleagues, consult a lawyer and/or your tax professional. This also benefits clients because they are paying a business entity (for example: LifeWorks Consulting LLC)  and that's how it appears on their statements.

But to me the benefits of having deposits handled through a business entity range from:
- More privacy for clients as it shows up as my business entity
- Clear financial separation between personal and business (then pay myself)
- More flexibility in deposit payment methods (EFT-CA, Venmo, Zelle, Invoicing, sent to business address)
- Consistent methods instead of one-off workarounds
- Fewer misunderstandings about intent or expectations (re: deposits are a standard business practice that secures time)

We all know there is no universally perfect deposit method anymore. Platforms change, rules tighten, and terrible people ruin good systems and erode the trust on the client side of the fence. Which leaves those of us who do the right thing having to bear the brunt of the pushback. For example, even though I do require deposits, those funds sit in a separate business account and I don’t touch them until after the date takes place. That protects both sides. From the client’s perspective, the deposit isn’t being treated like spendable cash the moment it’s received. From my perspective, it keeps accounting clean and boundaries clear. But treating this like an actual business, with systems instead of patches, reduces friction for everyone involved.

Ah some good old fashioned money laundering.

I like it.

That’s just… accounting. But I appreciate the joke. Money laundering actually has a very specific legal meaning. It refers to concealing the source of funds derived from illegal activity in order to make them appear legitimate. That usually involves things like layering transactions, shell games to hide criminal proceeds, or moving money around specifically to disguise its origin.

What I’m describing is running income through a registered business entity, keeping client funds in a separate account, not commingling personal and business money, paying taxes, and treating deposits as unearned income until services are rendered. That’s basic compliance and risk management, not laundering.

Could we get into the weeds and nitpick this? Absolutely. Escorting exists in a gray or criminalized legal environment depending on jurisdiction. But having an LLC or S-Corp does not magically make anything legal or illegal. It doesn’t “launder” activity. It simply creates a business wrapper for income, expenses, liability separation, and reporting. Paying taxes through that entity isn’t concealment... it’s actually disclosure.

If criminalization automatically equaled laundering, then every lawyer representing a criminal defendant, every bail bondsman, every dispensary during early legalization, and half the hospitality industry would be “laundering money.”

They are clear on this: they pretty much do not care how or why you made money. They care that you report it accurately and pay your taxes. If this were laundering, accountants and tax attorneys wouldn’t be advising sex workers to formalize their businesses. And yet they do. Constantly. That’s why sex workers have been filing taxes legally for decades.

But yes, joke appreciated. It did actually make me laugh. But as always, consult your legal and tax professional.

If you are taking cash from illegal means and using it to flow through an llc....

....i got news for ya...

SMH.

I can't remember who asked what LOL, so will answer all in one post:

Good question regarding if they were just trying to dodge the deposit. I didn't dig. One in NYC was probably going to bodegas to find them (newbie) - yes you need to go to bigger retailers like CVS, Target, etc. They have a whole wall of them.

Zelle can be discrete as a provider if you set up a separate bank account with a separate legitimate business name (takes work, but is possible). They pay to the business Zelle name/email (I.e. "123 Marketing, LLC" or whatever.). I would see their real name but I only verify with real info anyways so I already know it.

CashApp does not have buyer protection, so to me it's risky. Also the last time I used it it asked me for my SSN so that was the last time I used it!

This is a great post. Thank you all.

The pushback I am aware of from stores is when someone buys a stack of gift cards and the retailer tries  to determine if the they are a victim of online scamming/blackmail. I had someone in my family fall prey to such a scam; the retailer asked them questions, but the victim didn’t answer their questions honestly as they were too afraid to admit something nefarious was afoot (the victim was elderly and too clever for their own good).  More info…https://lifelock.norton.com/learn/fraud/gift-card-scams

-Hoot.

Along with having an actual business entity and all the appropriate accounting/banking infrastructure established, utilizing gift giving platforms can be beneficial for deposits/payments.
 .
The one I'm familiar with processes via Stripe (credit cards, wallets, CashApp) and functions like any other online checkout system. The lady can choose any screen name, set whatever her gifts are (various dollar amounts or actual items), and link it to her bank account for receiving funds, which usually takes about 3 days. The site does add on a processing fee the purchaser pays, but most payment processing systems charge a fee anyway (usually out of the seller's side instead out of the purchaser's). For the gent, it bills as Global Gifting Technologies and other than the dollar amount involved in the transaction, no connection is made on the purchaser's side regarding what/to whom the gift was sent.  If a SO were to see the statement and question what the charge was for, it could be a donation to any charity you want to name off and there'd be no way to verify one way or another.
 .
Each purchaser can gift up to 19k/y (goes up each year) without tax consequences for either party, and gifts below that threshold (again, per purchaser) don't need to be reported to the IRS. This makes it very simple and clear in case of an audit on either party that this money is not income and requires zero disclosure/explanation.
 .
It's a decent way to receive gifts, ensure they're not counted as income, maintain privacy boundaries and neutral billing... especially if a person has difficulty getting the usual payment apps.
 .
Once a gent graduates that 19k threshold then he can be switched over to the lady's LLC/biz entity for further financing. The benefit here is that there are a great many legit B2B services a biz owner might need and invoicing/1099s can be issued for services rendered, keeping records clean on both sides.

Thank you so much for the inclusion! It's very rare for a provider to take a minute to add me into the monger mix. It's very much appreciated 😘

As to your question about deposits...I haven't had to give one yet! I don't know why, but some of the providers that I've seen in the last couple of years waived the deposit requirement. I didn't ask why....I just took it as a sign of trust. Lately I've been seeing mainly k girls and they don't require deposits. I'm sure that someday I'll have to send a deposit, and an Amazon gift card seems like an easy and safe way to do so. I would def ask the lady if that would be an acceptable option 👍

-- Modified on 1/2/2026 10:26:19 PM

I haven’t been quite as lucky as you, but I’ve also had a few ladies waive the deposit after initial contact. I think some people here would be amazed at what a well written, respectful introduction email can accomplish.

Some providers use the deposit to filter out dipshits. So once you prove you’re not a dipshit…

*Obligatory disclaimer:
I have not, and would not contact a provider who requests a deposit hoping to change her mind about it with my boyish charm. It’s not like it’s a plan. It just sort of happens sometimes, kinda like a bush in a Bob Ross painting.

You are very welcome! I am all about inclusion ;)

Recently was asked to use Uber gift card for a visiting escort.  Very easy to find.

and why would someone question gift cards???

the worst i got was someone saying store policy was they cannot accept credit cards for gift cards…which is fine since clients who are married want to avoid credit card charges anyway

i mean, is someone asking “are you paying for a hooker’s deposit with this, ahyuck ahyuck” while they ring up the sale?

It would be much easier for me to take a pic of a gift card and send it to the girl. But I would only send a deposit if the lady was well reviewed etc.

I have never had a problem buying a gift card, been only questioned once but I think that was the older lady making convo. Either way I just say its a gift...card.

I buy them at Target or even office supply place like staples.
