I do prefer dinner dates, whenever the situation is right and it's affordable. You'll see a specific rate on some ladies' websites for dinner dates. If you don't, just ask. I've found that it's a very enjoyable way to get to know one another, rather than the awkward sitting in the hotel room.

Dinner is also nice with a lady that you've seen several times.
