— It turns out a federal judge has ruled the tape recordings of the mongers getting massages were an invasion of privacy that went far beyond the scope of the original warrant authorizing limited surveillance.
— Feds and local LE touted this as a huge “human trafficking” bust, but the only individuals still facing charges are managers being charged with prostitution.
—Homeland Security’s job is to protect against terror threats. They had no business helping out local law enforcement in what boiled down to a basic prostitution sting.
—The women still facing charges are currently trying to get the use of tapes thrown out of their cases too.
— The sexual acts that did occur were consensual

If Kraft, or some other billionaire with a motivation to fight this to the end, most likely all of these guys would have been convicted and this kind of law enforcement overreach may have been hailed as a "new tool" in the belt of LE to fight the horrific crime of human trafficking, which of course is mainly a bunch of consenting adults doing what human beings have done since the cave man days.

Now that these guys have a little momentum on their side, I hope they don't let up the pressure and that it's THEM that sends the message that George Orwell was not 100% right in his book 1984, only about 99% correct. lol

Am I the only one irritated the the Department of Homeland Security is involved in every prostitution sting? I get that it likely more fun than infiltrating some white supremist group or fighting Chinese hackers, but have any cases of 'human  trafficking' been found to have been a threat to the Untied States?

Human trafficking is truly evil, throwing the term about just hurts those truly being trafficked.

As the concept of sex work becomes more culturally acceptable, they shift the narrative and claim all they are trying  to do is protect the victims of sex trafficking. The problem with that is 99% of the time they end up busting consenting adults, in this case using unconstitutional methods to entrap them.
