I appreciate the responses and greatrush, I am pretty knowledgeable about the risks.  I had a friend with benefits for almost three years -- won't bore you with the details about how it evolved but after we hooked up the first time, we backed up and had testing done.  Amazingly, I tested negative for everything, and I did some pretty crazy stuff in college.  I was an RA on a co-ed dorm with 28 female residents and 4 guys, and I fucked 8 of my residents over the course of my year there and never once worried about protection.  Usually, the question upon insertion was "are you on the pill?", so I've been there and done that.

The fact is that with more sexual partners your risk increases.  Providers may get tested more frequently but that just delays results.  If a provider sees 4 - 6 clients a day, that's a lot of kissing and skin-to-skin contact that increases the risk of infection.  I've never even been exposed to HSVI, the virus that typically causes cold sores but can cause genital herpes.  A BBBJ is a risky activity because you can transmit many things to the provider and vice versa.

That said, there's a very hot Asian visiting my area in a week and I may just see her.  Also, my wife isn't fucking jack and/or jill.  She's sexless and way beyond that, trust me.

I have been flirting with the "hobby" for some time and am intrigued and scared shitless at the same time.  I am married, as I am sure many of us are, and while my marriage has become essentially sexless with no passion I am pursuing alternatives.  I love my kids and don't want to leave, although it is certainly an option.

My concern is contracting something and bringing it home to my wife.  I've read reviews and BBBJ seem fairly common -- it seems that this hobby is rife with risks and I am wondering if anyone out there has contracted an STD as a result of contact with a provider?

Even with protection, condoms with blowjobs and intercouse, vaginal or anal, there's a risk.  I'm just curious about who out there who has participated over time has contracted anything (that they know of)!

The bottom line is that the vast majority of providers are very careful (It's their livlihood.) and as a result, STD's are not common at all.

I have hobbied for over thirty years and seen close to two hundred women, and never got a STD from any of them.

On the other hand, I got STD's on three occasions when I used to civie date way back when, and that was with seeing about seven different women.

If BBBJ's were dangerous, most of us on here would be dead ten times over by now.

In short:  It's safe.  Hop on in.

I've never caught anything and I've always played it safe with casual encounters.  I did catch an STD once though, from my first girlfriend about 17 years ago.  All it took was a doctor's visit and some tetracycline to get rid of.  Recently tested HIV- when I applied for life insurance, so I'm happy with my own judgment, which is the best thing for you or anyone else to follow.

Moose your hobbying days will be short-lived because you'll out yourself with that fabulous logic you steal from your brain. It's not a street fest going on in here... First, not counting ladies who hoof and lay our streets, I doubt that you'll catch more than an occasional cold practicing the hobby and if you do, it's likely that you are engaging in some high risk behavior. You could catch any number of very nasty bugs from walking down the street... And while you are at it, your sexless and less than passionate wife is likely fucking Jack or Jill and may be doing both of them for sport. Are you wearing a raincoat at home? Should you be? I mean you really don't know if your exposing these providers to something... I bet you don't get "tested" on regular basis; most of them do. So I will be polite and ask you to read the boards thoroughly and you'll find many us more than willing to lend a little honesty about what really goes on out here. In the meantime, don't insult them. Providers are not some monolithic cult. I actually feel a bit sorry for you, because you could be having loads of fun rather than having to worry if your willie will catch a wart.

You have only not to kiss her and to get CBJs and this makes your argument pale under the light of day... Partaking at any level is about choices and if you are going to worry about willie getting warts, just quit or take all of the advice above. You will descrease your risks exponentially.
