Man, I must be alone in this whacky world where people are inconsiderate of others. I don't know where the body, beginning, and end is. It makes reading difficult because if I have to reference it, I have to scan it to find the topics I want to reflect on. If you have paragraphs, I know where to look.

Its hopeless, I sometimes get on this site for a bit of entertainment, and this is what I have to deal with. Is everyone drunk, or does no one even care anymore?

I don't like writing long posts so I'll try to keep it short.  I recently scheduled a date with a very high rated provider.  I provided the normal info.  Then she contacted me to tell me that my references have not replied, and asked if I would reach out to them directly which was a first, but I did. The reference took another couple of days to respond, and this provider texted me everyday until she responded. She even asked for a tentative time, if the references came back ok.  I wasn't in a big hurry and don't feel I was rushing, but i felt rushed.  So I figured she had a clear schedule and just wanted to fill it.  I don't typically like to assume negatively.  When the reference came through she asked when I'd like to meet.  I told her that I couldn't do it till the end of the week, but to confirm the time.  She responded with "anytime after 11am" I said "noon it is."  When that day came I got up started to get ready, texted her to confirm.  She called me instead and I missed her call.  She then text me that she has a pilates class she'd rather go to and we could meet later or next week.  I told her that I did not have that afternoon/evening open but I would try to rearrange things.  I made no promises.  That evening after trying to ditch some customers a few times, I texted her and said that it wasn't going to happen tonight and that I really wished I was with her instead.  She immeadiately calls and tells me off, I'm having to listen while standing infront of customers.  She got so heated that she threatened to blacklist me, so I went to lower the volume on my phone and the call dropped.  My initial reaction was omg I'm so sorry, I'll make it up to you, blah, blah, blah.  I must have suprised her with my reaction because she called back and apologized for freaking out and blamed it on not feeling well.  We talked civily for a couple minutes, we then switched to texting and we ended up agreeing to meet the next week.  Next week comes, Monday, get blown off/no response.  I don't hear from her again till Thursday, I get a text from her asking if I'd like to meet today or tomorrow.  I said today let's do it (I need it!!), but just an hour. She seemed irritated with the reduced time, but I wasn't going to gamble after everything thus far. After an hour and starting to get ready, she text me and say I got invited to a great party, maybe next time.  My response, k...Have a great night.  Friday same text, but I tell her how about Monday 100%, she agrees. YES FINALLY, I EARNED THIS ONE.  Monday comes, no call, no text, no hey we on?  I swallow the pride and shoot a text.  She 'matter of factly' say's"hi, when are we meeting"  I said "been waiting on directions from you".  At that point I told her to forget it, its easier to get laid the old-fashioned way.  I was still light-hearted and offered a gift for whatever trouble I may have caused her, even though we have yet to meet.  She tells me to deal with her asst on that.  Great! What could go wrong with that communication! The assistant proceeds to tell me that one thousand dollars would cover me from being blacklisted and any trouble that I have caused.  I texted the provider that I respectfully disagreed with her assessment but I will oblige to keep from having to defend a blacklisting.  She responded with don't bother, I guess I was suppose to think it was a great idea too.  To keep my moral compass going the right direction, I think I'll make a charitable donation.  I don't believe I'm 100% right here but I think I did as much as I could to keep the peace.  This hobby is about money and FUN, right?  If I end up blacklisted, it will just prove the nice guy finish last deal even more!!  Interested in piont of views from both sides

... you're first mistake was ever calling her again after she blew you off for a pilates class. Go see someone else. I'm all for giving people second chances but at least give me a decent excuse.

You should of told her you could help her burn more calories then pilates

Don't send the money! 1000 is WAY too much for a cancellation fee. Plus, a cancellation fee does not apply for a provider's lack of business sense, scam methods, and or flakeyness. I personally, take blacklists with a grain of salt. I have a few friends who have treated me like gold for years land themselves on bls for refusal to loan money to skookers(skanky hookers) outside of session, and many other silly reasons.

Here is what you tell the booker, "I don't give a flying fuck about being blacklisted. Have at it. Karma is a bitch, lady."

For what purpose? The 1st appointment was blown off because she's rather be at a Pilates class?? Really? Subsequent appointments also blown off.. by her. YOU don't owe anything & after the 1st time being blown off for a PILATES class, you never should have re-scheduled. There are too many fish in the sea to put up with BS like this. Blacklist? For what reason... for HER cancelling on you multiple times? I'd say go to your regional board & share your story, names included, to help other hobbyists avoid the BS you went through.

You made multiple appointments for which you were repeatedly blown off.  In my humble opinion, you should have politely ended the quest to see her much sooner and paid nothing at all, if the story is accurate.
