Frankly either is fine to get your point across. I don't think the FREE blog sites will give you much flexibility, but that of course depends on what you want to accomplish and how you want to communicated with. You can buy the URL and then build a nicer blog site; one that gives you flexibility. The real difference is how well you advertise for people to get the hits you want. Where many providers fail with these sites is not following up on people who use them to ask for appointments and legitimate questions. As for the ladies who only use EROS and some of the other advertising sites, well I guess they work, but I for one rarely look at EROS and the times I have, I find lots of phony pictures that are usually easily debunked using Tineye for one. I guess I'm beginning this thread as I feel an awful lot of women are wasting money they don't have on expensive websites that are unnecessary.

Many of the clients I meet (and they're not so many!) comment that one reason they were drawn to meet me was because of the originality of my website - they say it's different, it stands out, and expresses something of who I am (it's a blog).

They also intimate that they're way beyond bored of the many same-looking cookie cutter sites that reiterate industry platitudes - often without correct grammar and spelling (I do like literacy in a man!).

I have seen a number of women crash and burn with extremely expensive sites that just haven't worked for them for whatever reason.

My own liking for using a blog is very much based upon the fact that I can change it so easily, night or day, immediately. My understanding is that having a webmaster is work, you often have to wait for even minor changes, and you have to pay for minor changes. Totally inefficient to my mind.

What do the ladies think of this state of affairs?

And gentlemen, are you really so seduced by cookie cutter sites that whilst they may be expensive, are rarely so original?

Further to this, I heard from a website today that they wouldn't put my info on my site as I have a free site. As my site's not cheap and tacky looking, I think this is a shame, and undue prejudice to those who don't go in for websites.

I notice that there are a lot of girls on P411 and Eros who don't bother with websites whatsoever.

I have both a regular, static website and a blog. My only investments in the website were time, effort, and the cost of hosting and the domains, so I can't opine on whether or not paying a designer is worth it for other ladies. It wasn't for me -- I had basic design skills already, and what I didn't have I learned and/or fudged. Also, I'm kind of a control freak when it comes to my business; I couldn't bear the thought of handing the reins to someone else. ;)

I think it's important to have a site of any kind -- free, paid, blog, whatever -- that's not a third-party ad or screening service site because it lends credibility. You'll also have more advertising options with sites that request a logo or banner placement in exchange for a listing.

I agree that free, cookie cutter websites are less than ideal. You DO want to stand out from the crowd! However, I also agree that just because a site is free doesn't mean it has to be tacky or dull. But it probably will be one or the other (or both) if the lady doesn't put any effort or thought into it.

I use Wordpress for my blog too. I think it's a great option for a free site/blog platform; it's very customizable. In fact, it's so customizable that I've seen sites built on the WP platform that I couldn't even tell were based on WP!

I'd recommend purchasing an actual domain to point to a free site, though. It's not a big investment -- I think mine are like $15 a year each -- and it makes your blog/site look a little more professional.

As a hobbyist, I'm looking for information when I  log on either a website or blog. I  want to see pictures, and have my questions answered. You know the usual, where, when, how much, how long and menu offered etc.  I don't care if it the site is cookie cutter or custom. If a lady is talented and can express herself with the written word, then a blog is a great feature. However, while blogs and web sites are wonderful additions to a marketing plan, for me, consistently strong reviews, written by experienced hobbyists really seal the deal. BTW, Carrie you've got the reviews.

I agree. The only reason I don't have 'www.tamarag.com' is because it wasn't available.

and find the blog part gets a lot of attention although of late my mind and desire hasn't been there. I am wondering how my old friends will view my new site and will it draw new attention.

Many have told me how much they enjoy my blog posts but they are not the run of the mill travel plans or what I have for lunch. I never posted daily and it is very sensual in desire with a twist of PSE.

I think either is fine if it shows who you are and the person the gentleman will meet. A boring blog will only bring you down and others will not cum back to read it. A negative blog can chase others away and daily nothing posts will leave most cold and bored.
