How can someone call from another phone and your phone number appears on the receiver's caller ID screen?

This is mainly for the ladies, (tho anyone can be harassed by "Blocked Callers") There is a Solution! I personally have been being harassed by an EX-Escort, who has descended into a drug/alcohol, Brain Dead, Homeless situation, and is using "Spoof" calling, etc. to send taxi-cabs, Pizzas, and everything else to me at home, using my "Private" home number. I am fraught with turning away Taxis & Pizzas that I Did Not Order, even tho they were "ordered" from my private Home Number (but I Did Not order them!) If you are having Problems with "Spoofing", the calls can be traced to their original Number but it will cost you. Here are some of the Solutions to "Identify" Blocked Numbers...

Ladies, Don't always blame a Guy, you would be surprised how often it is another female who is jealous/resentful of you.

Happy Holidays to All,

Whooh! Good info there...thanks so much.

I have a pre-paid message only line just for my escort calls. An escort should of course never give out their main line private number to the public.

I hate those blocked calls!!! I had an instance where there was a lady who was jealous of me was having her guy friends set up dates with fake references and then standing me up. I have also had my share of stalkers too!

The ex-provider in question could be spoofing her phone number using a VoIP phone.  It's a technology that allows you to make phone calls through the internet, rather than regular phone lines (think Vonage).  Due to the nature of the internet, it's not much harder to spoof a phone number than an e-mail address.  In fact, there are concerns that spammers might start doing it soon, although VoIP phones would have to become really popular first, and this doesn't seem to be the case in the US.

I got hang up calls for a solid year from a blocked number and I thought it was a guy but I found out it was from another provider. A very jealous disturbed provider. Who the hell would figure a gal would have that much time? I guess she wasn't busy.
