Re: Auditioning for porn? You don't need acting training to suck and fuck. It's all about looks i

Which reminds me of a story.

Before Traci Lords left the industry she had started to take formal acting lessons at Lee Strasberg's method acting company. She shows up at a shoot and the director goes over the scene with her. "In this scene, you're gonna suck his dick, then do some mish, then switch to doggie, then when he's ready let him come on your tits. Do you think you can do that?" She thinks for a moment and asks, "What's my motivation?"

I have gotten a few offers to be in porn movies - basic online stuff, nothing major since I live in AL not CA.

I know there is a legit company in Montgomery - I talked to them a few months ago and they have my info on file.

The offers I've been getting recently, sound legit but I am really wary of "auditioning".

How do you know the "audition" is a legit part of being cast in a porn movie, vs some guy with a website, camera and just saying he's in the porn business to score free services?

This would probably be better in the legal forum, but... here goes anyway.  :-)

Basically there are no "auditions" for adult films.  A producer might want to see some photos - but trust me, porn isn't about acting ability.  Other than the ability to fake orgasms... LOL

I'd say it would be of questionable legality to "audition" for pay - since that would essentially be sex for money - unless possibly it was a legit company and you were paid by a third party who was not part of the event.  That's not case law I'd care to test.  LOL.

Outside of California production of adult films can also be of questionable legality.  I don't know about Alabama.

A legitimate adult entertainment production company is (usually) incorporated, will issue you a 1099, and will usually pay you by check.  They will have production capabilities, and most importantly - distribution.  They will also require you to provide an "AIM" STD test done within the past 30 days.  You will have to sign releases, and provide ID.

A guy setting a camera on the dresser in his trailer doesn't qualify.  LOL

Although... a web cam uploading live video to a "pay to view" web cam site is legit. We did just that back when we were in the biz - though we were feeding from an $8,000 Sony production camera operated by a cameraman and had a wide screen monitor on the wall to watch the feed, and hot lights all over the room, and a web tech, etc.

So no, if you get a "guy" wanting you to audition he's just looking for a freebie.

LOL,
TS Jamie :-)

The  "audition" talents most seem to be looking for recently is the ability to breathe through your ears, be about 3 feet tall and have a flat head on top. ..... Oh wait that was last nights dream.

If anything, first shoots sell even better.  Just tell him your rate, if he pays it, good, if not, F him.

There is no audition. It's called a go-see.You take off your clothes and turn around. No one puts a finger on you or gropes you. Also a real company will make sure you have a current aims test.(aims clinics)If they do not ask for one they are not legit. You legally have to have one to work in porn.A porn company will never have you fuck them or suck them off.NEVER.I have worked for several companiies in LA.Also if you are not in California do not ever ever take a check.Oh and alot of producers are just guys with cameras.Just regular old Joe's.Remember no AIMS test= bullshit and the possibility of catching something.Pm me if you like.I know real people who can get you started in the industry

Oh and normal rate for a b/g is $600-$800.Anal $1200-1500 G/g $300-$400. g/g/anal $800. bj $300 Facefucking bj $400.These are normal rates for new girls.Never do it for anything less or you'll never be able to charge your full rate again. Companies and talent do talk.and hold off on anal as long as possible.the longer you wait the more you can charge.

one of the offers did ask me to bring a recent STD test and said he'd get a male actor to do a scene with me - this is audition, no pay.

the other company (the one in the link) I am pretty sure is guy with camera, not legit porn offer.

I told them both thanks but no thanks unless they are paying me from the start.

Even a regular std test is no good.It has to be from aims clinics. Also you are sopposed to get paid by the scene and not hour.So if they are like $100 a hour it's fake.

No legitimate porn company would ask you to "audition". Just as no legitimate agency owner would expect you to have sex with him before he hires you.
