Sadly, most of the good posters (including ME, of course!) have left.  No one's mind is ever changed there, because each side believes their facts are right and the other side's positions have no "facts" at all.  So they just yell at each other continually with the same predictable, nasty shit.  I don't even lurk there any more because it's just boring after a while.
PS:  And since I won't post there I'll make a comment on a non-GD Board topic.  The Greeks have today elected a government of the New Democracy party, which favors the European bailout and staying in the EU.  There will be a huge rally in the world markets tomorrow.  Of course, when there's bad news from Italy or Spain at any point everyone will rush for the exits.

For some, who for whatever reason, are incredibly insecure, have low self extreme and feel that hiding behind a computer screen and spewing their hatred and meanness, in the hopes of making their pathetic lives better without consequence.

They would be paralyzed by fear if they were made to confront those they so readily denigrate online, in person and say the things they say all the while hiding behind anonymity and a keyboard.

Yes it's a fk board, but does that mean simple courtesy and common sense and behaving like an adult goes out the door? If you won't or can't say something to a person's face, then don't be a gigantic coward and do it online.

I thought this was supposed to be a place that like minded people came to enjoy some cyber conversation, but more often than not, it turns into grade school pablum and frat boy pranking and punking.

Have an opinion, but how hard is it to express yourself as you would standing right in front of someone?

Thank the universe for that ignore button. It has made life on here great. I can follow the posts that the obvious adults are contributing to and avoid the abject stupidity of other posts that are riddled with the ignore this user messages.

And what is funny is that any post that is meaty and worthy, they avoid. I am not surprised at that. They obviously come on here not to contribute as an adult but to be simple minded a@#es, who's only purpose is to make fun, be a jerk and an internet coward.

If some of the biggest a**holes on here are really nice guys in person, how does one even get to the place to meet them to find this out? If I see an a**hole on a board, the very last thing I want to do is be alone with him...not knowing if he just might be a board a**hole and not a complete a**hole.
