So like any new provider who aims to be moderately successful, I've browsed ads and websites of other girls. I've found a lot of similarities and differences when it comes to the types of photos we take! We've got selfies to professional photos. Modestly dressed to total exposure. Lots of boudoir/lingerie shoots, beach, outdoorsy types the list goes on.

with a traveling photographer for November and while I want to remain true to my self (all natural outdoorsy type here!) I am very curious to what the gentlemen are interested in seeing.

If I'm on a tablet or phone or phablet ... or suspended over my computer in a gymnastics safety harness, I can view an upside down picture right side up and see what you look like.  But in my usual hobby viewing  
situation, I'm on a laptop or desktop and I can't do that. The human brain has trouble interpreting images when they are upside down. You can not even recognize portrait (face) pictures of your own family members when they are upside down.

to cater to all the categories a john might like, you're going to get a lot of different answers. From a hooker, yeah I know you asked johns, however the general advice some give is take the images that you feel most comfortable and alluring in.  

It will show in those images and you will look sexy and confident...some men like that in a woman.

Even if you are planning b having your face completely blurred out, SMILE. A smile addicts the whole body, the pose, the vibe, and the attitude--the pic will show that. You can tell when a blurred face had a furrowed brown and lopsided frown like the girl resented having to do the shoot.

I don't mean to cut your thread short but another measure of successful  photos could be estimated by looking at the scores of images posted on the Photos Only board. Look at as many of the daily contributions as you want.

Good point but even beautiful women in awkward or gross positions don't score highly

No not for titillation I can find plenty of naked pics from porn sites. This is so that I can fully "inspect" the merchandise and avoid any negative surprise

Non professional photos are best. The lady won't be airbrushed when she opens the door. Its best to see what your getting without all the photo magic.

Of a pose/s etc. that the hooker is clearly NOT comfortable doing and as you pointed out, she looks tense and uncomfortable.

Same goes with the actual textual content of the website and/or ads. All this sends messages...hopefully to the right people BUT if done without thought, to the wrong ones.

The advice of "do what makes you feel comfortable etc" is not helpful. Think about it, there really is no necessary connection between what you experience as you are being photographed, the types of photos you find attractive, the types of photos you think your clients "should" find attractive and what your clients actually find attractive. The advice should be do what results in photos that attract the clients you want: even if that feels awkward or the final product is not even something you yourself like in an aesthetic sense. If you want glamour shots of yourself for your own enjoyment then you should do exactly what you want. But that is not what we are discussing. And even if you are having photos taken for your own enjoyment, I think you will find that those poses that give the best results (defined as what pleases you) are not those where you feel the most confident or sexy during the process... I'll be candid here, I think that in this context, the advice of doing what makes you feel sexy and confident is really an ideological statement as to the wrongness of the male sex drive and aesthetic sense and an objection to appeasing it in any way. Resenting your clients is fine, lots of professionals do, an acting in ways that satisfies that resentment is also fine, but advising others to act contrary to their financial interest on that basis is not fine...

It's like shooting pool. Start off working at clipping the balls into the pockets and soon you'll get good at doing it right. Then have fun. I.e. "then do what's 'comfortable.'"

Good point. The same picture, right side up, is easier to process and we can see if she has a paunch or not.  When it's upside down, our reference points are all screwed up and all we see are her boobs!  

I like photos that set realistic expectations - not just the physical dimensions and look, but the attire/lingerie selected for the photos. Its disappointing when you make an appointment with an attractive woman in seductive clothing and what you get is a tax accountant/librarian.

No point having a photo shoot decked out in lingerie if that is not who "you" are and that you never intend to dress like that when meeting your johns. Same goes for hair and makeup.

I would suggest the positive "Likes" reflect the product being advertised.

I have an upside down that I like because you can see my cleavage from the top, plus my torso and legs at the same time. The same pose from the bottom up would look a little too vulgar for me. It would be more of a crotch shot.

Tori, I think, considering the clientele you seek with your advertising is somewhat limited in the overall makeup of the hobbiests who frequent TER. That most of them do not tick the like button is no reflection on how beautiful you or your photos are. They are not in to the services you offer. It obviously works for you and more power to you.

It usually means something when all the pix hide something (belly, butt, boobs, etc). Find I don't call those ladies because when I ignore those indicators, I wind up regretting it (flabby, big, saggy, etc). I'm very glad to pay when I wind up with what I saw in the pictures but have learned to look closely to see what their hiding.
