This woman deserves high grades for chutzpah, I must say. I have wondered sometimes if many providers didn't double as school teachers. In some ways it's the perfect other job. is how many independent women register their website under their real name. Don't they realize how easy it is for anyone to get that info? Especially when the spotlight is now bright, better precautions should be taken.

I would do a whois on their domain name, and inform them that they should either make the name private, or change the name and address to something other than their home.

The first few times I mentioned this on the boards, a few less knowledgeable people told me that by showing people how to find the name, I was contributing to their inability to keep their identity private.   I responded that every computer nerd (of which I am one), knows who to do a whois search, and it was not some special secret thing.

So women, when you register that domain name, remember anybody can see the information you have registered with it.

I wouldn't want to imagine any of my teachers (nuns) as providers...
