Just an observation. One of the veterans made a comment about this community on one of my posts. And he was dead-on. I have made some GREAT aquatinances here through the chat. And not just the providers, some hobbyists also. For me, not being near one of the major hubs, I have thoughly enjoyed the interaction through chat and email. I have had the honor of meeting some women I would prolly not had the opportunity to meet. Gracious, giving women. Without the location or the bankroll to participate in this hobby more often than about every 2-3 months, I can say I have some exceptional providers on my radar. But, the communication has been wonderful. I feel that I can truly consider them friends. Those providers and hobbyiest know who they are. Thank you for accepting me into your community. My first experience was more than I could have dreamed of, Thanks to her for taking a chance on a "Probie." Thank you to the veteran Hobbyiest, you have given freely of your advice. Thank you to the providers, you tolerate us in chat and make us feel welcome.
Hoping all have a safe and wonderful holiday season
As I approach my second year "in the hobby" and not yet a full year here on TER... I am indeed thankful for these message boards. The input & advise from others, on both sides of the relationship has been so helpful in approaching these experiences with the right frame of mind. My thanks also, skb

You have already set a positive example by your post, which conveys an excellent attitude to the hobby and demonstrates to the newbies in particular but to the whiners specifically that if you do your part and use the resources that TER provides, you can have a safe and satisfying "career" in the hobby.
I think we also benefit from the enthusiasm that a newer member brings as they are making the discoveries that some of us may have made long ago. The freshness and enthusiasm brightens things up, and certainly reminds me to be thankful to be a part of this community and to have the opportunity to enjoy the true sport of kings.
I bow in your presence and wisdom you have shared with me. Also, Mr Bond, my deepest gratitude. I will try and continue to bring my enthusiasm. Of course, that comes mostly from all of YOU that have befriended me here at TER. Thank you.
