his "do not call" list. Really - to hear some of these 'providers' rave and rant about the trivialities of life, and then bitch because they have an appointment with a gent *who is paying good money in expectation of an effort on their part to deliver good service*  but they don't really want to do keep the appointment because they just don't feel like it or because they don't particularly *like* the gent in question, or because they're not "in the mood", or because they'd rather masturbate and eat ice cream, or whatever the fuck - it is entertaining in the extreme. I've marked quite a few providers off of my "possibles" list as a result of Twitter. Even more effective than taking note of the DQs on these boards. I fucking Love twitter. I wish every pro would use it. Maybe one out of 100 would retain some dignity and present themselves in a professional light, and express appreciation for their clientele.....

Twitter can be a lot of fun. I've been on it for a while, come follow me!

Also it can help reinforce the idea that providers are real people with normal lives and not fuck doll robots....contrary to what Mr bitter alias above thinks!

Wow!  so you never had a day that you didn't want to go to work and bitched about it... but had a great day once you got there.  Really, I love what I do but I don't wake up in the morning going, "yay, I get to suck a stranger off today!  OH Boy!"  -- well, unless I've been off for a week or two, then I can't wait;)   We're regular people and I am posting without alias to be sure you can cross me off me off your list too :)

and some of your clients may be reading it. How do you think your client would feel if he read unflattering comments about your evening client (him) or how you were not into, or even dreaded, your upcoming session, or would so much rather be doing something else, or what a chore and a bother it is to get ready to entertain him? It may be that many providers dread some or maybe most of their appointments with clients - I have no way of knowing. But it is a thoughtless and unkind thing to broadcast in public.... thankfully none of the providers I see regularly twitter (that I know of!) I guess I'd better stop looking, frankly, because I do not want to find out..... the illusion that the provider actually respects her client is a cherished one, even if it ultimately proves false....

Personally, I would feel like I was being disrespectful to my employer and my customers if I bitched about my job and my customers in a public venue. They pay me well and treat me well and they deserve to be treated with respect (of course, I may feel differently if one of them tried to fuck me in the ass).

I know providers have a very hard job. That you can't possibly wake up saying "Boy, I can't wait to suck and fuck that ugly, 300-pound butterball." But the quality providers create this fantasy that makes us temporarily forget about this. Seeing the truth in print is a bit deflating.

Many guys do this for fantasy...to get away from the day-to-day issues they and their friends and family have to deal address. We want to spend a perfect little hour where real life issues don't intrude. When we have our penis in a provider's mouth, vagina or butt, it's better to fantasize that it's because she loves it rather than know the truth: she's doing it because she has a special needs child and she's only doing this to pay the extra bills.

I'm not saying providers shouldn't blog or twitter, I just wanted to offer insight into why some men aren't interested in candid feelings about their clients and their job. On the other hand, there are clearly guys who do like to know all the details of a provider's lifee and they're less interested in the fantasy and more interested in a real-world friendship.

Ladies, so you hurt any fragile feelings or let these men know how you truly feel about this job I strongly suggest you have another Twitter account under an alias to do your gut spilling...and use your twitter account with your work name to keep the illusion.

I appreciate the heads up from the guy who got pissed off that sometimes this job is just that ...a job that at times a lady just doesn't want to do but puts on a brave face and makes your day, just like everybody else who earns a living doing what they like to do.

yes, you bring an excellent point about bitching in public.  And I agree a thousand percent in regards to not  wanting to ever read something like that from a woman I spent spent or spend my time and resources on.  That would be lousy and deflating at least.  So I definitely concede to you on those points.

I think my reaction is rather a knee jerk reaction to the attitude of "entitlement" that the post seemed to represent to me.  (I am not being flippant, sarcastic, accusatory or mashing my teeth so please allow a little leverage here).  It's one thing to read, "I would hate to see a provider I saw doing that - that shouldn't be aired in public".  But it didn't read that way and made me want to jump up and say, "HEY!!!  We are people too.  And clients are NOT our employers. I love what I do but I don't always like the shaving and primping and getting the pedicures or waxing the eyebrows or taking photos or the nervousness I feel when knocking on the door for an outcall."  All tedious stuff and a necessary  part of the job to be successful but we do vent like everyone else even if it's the career of choice and one that we love.  Again, I definitely see your point about throwing that out into a public forum - point taken.

Yes, my rant was a bit over the top. A sore spot for me I suppose. Yes, there are clients who are just racking up scores, lots of reviews, evaluating the providers like cuts of meat. They probably enjoy reading all of the expose on twitter, and probably have their basically mysoginistic attitude enforced by doing so. However, many are more like I am - respectful, make an effort to present myself as well as possible, clean well groomed nicely dressed. Try never to be a chore or a bore. Express appreciation and make a good effort to please the lady too if she desires. The way I hobby, mutual respect is important to me. Then again I am more into the GFE experience than the PSE....  so, let's call it a truce. And if you do not mind, I will *not* mark you off my possible list! You are intelligent and thoughtful, and sometimes the latter is not easy when presented with a rant like mine.....

cuz its soooooo not, not even close. Twitter is micro blogging. I follow LOTS of escorts (among other kinds of people) and most of the time the "tweets" from escorts are not about their "jobs" but about their LIVES.

Maybe before some people pass judgment on the medium  and those involved in they might want to actually check it out.

The content/nature of the tweet itself aside, there is absolutely no way I would 'twitter' in this realm. Yes, the technology is interesting.

But, for anyone who ever had any concern about sharing some simple screening info, you 'ain't even close to the potential of technology like twitter to blast your info, and your connection to whomever you're 'tweeting' with, all over the net.

Facebook/myspace are bad enough with the: Sally is connecteted to Joe, who's connecged to Ann, who's connected to Jim, who's connected to....But, twitter is really getting off the map as far as staying UTR.

And twitter is quite open about mining data from you.....and sharing info that with 3rd parties...

Maybe before you jump down my throat you would see that I was replying to the 2nd posters angst at reading from escort twitters the "bitchfests". I was merely suggesting that if you want to "bitch", to do it under an alias to prevent hurting their feelings and maybe...just maybe, ruining some business.

And for what it's worth I have visited that social networking site.

You took my advice out of context ...as a slam against providers, when in actual fact it was a jab at the very guy you had a stab at. OK...lets call it lost in translation.

I signed up for awhile ago. I've never been into into the Facebook/Social Networking stuff. I think I have ADD, which is why it took me an hour to read this thread, I had to keep coming back to it.

But I think it's kind of fun. I just started really getting into how it works last night since it's raining non-stop. It's interesting to follow what someone across the country is doing with the buzz on my phone. For instance, I wouldn't have seen this thread without Jennys' tweet.
Also, you can get to know people outside of the hobby world and see a different side of them and other friends. You might just meet someone really cool or interesting.

Being a provider can often times be very isolating and lonely.  I cannot talk to my non-provider friends about certain things - they just don't understand.

Twitter is a great way to connect with others in the adult industry and that is just what I use it for. I do not solicit business on there nor do I bash my clients - that to me would be counter productive. I have met some great ladies on twitter whom I admire very much. Had it not been for twitter I might not have ever had the opportunity to network with them.

It's not for everyone and i'm sure there are some ladies that will make me shudder by the context of their tweets. Simple - unfollow them and *poof* they are gone!

See you on twitter!

IMO, Providers that twitter and actively participate in other social networking websites are more likely to be self indulgent, narcissistic and indiscreet and are probably a greater threat to my anonymity and security in this hobby. People who twitter are usually “singing like a bird” (a Tweety bird), about their personal and professional lives.

I think we can all agree that there are many levels of professionalism when it comes to providing.

From the ladies who may not have considered exactly how far there "tweets" might go, to the ladies who don't care about the feelings of the "butterball" they saw (sadly).

I do enjoy the company of the lovely ladies on Twitter, but you can send a PRIVATE MESSAGE to them ranting.

I do not think that bitching about your playtime is going to win you points with your follower. However, I do believe that perhaps it would be nice to allow a little leniency and follow the lady's tweets for a pattern.  Perhaps it wasn't the "butterball", but her dog died and she was venting. Whoever they may be, perhaps reading this thread opened their eyes to the feelings on the other side.

There are the gentlemen I have met who DO want to know that I just got up and ate Cheerios.  And I am glad someone cares.  It is an isolated world sometimes.

I think there is a fine line between using it effectively for marketing and getting entirely too caught up in it.

Sorry your are a foolish person (twit) if you can not see the difference between TER and social networking websites like Facebook, Myspace and Twitter with respect to self indulgence, narcissism, and lack of discretion.  In  144 characters or less what is so important in your life and that I really need to know to function safely in this hobby?

Like everything stated here. TER is a very private secret club. What goes on in the clubhouse stays in the clubhouse.
It is bad enough that the mainstream has found us out...Due to open airs.
Mysapce, twitter, facebook and all the rest are for public activety. Let your potential new friends know your real. Yes you eat cheerios naked. Or wash the car in sweats.
First off I do not so much agree any woman should ever degrade new private activety or the gents that are kind enough to call you from the millions of ladies available.
In a age of easy email text and im if anyone man or woman want to rant...there is a time and place. Full public display is not it.
And again the best way to stay of LE radar is not giving them ammo to shoot yourself down.

You are missing the point.  It not a matter of me using twitter which I would not.   I just think it is  riskier to hobby with any one who is part of the twitter Borg collective.  It is safer to hobby with ladies/gents who show better judgment with respect to the privacy of their personal and professional life.  If that is a bitch so be it.

I am a titter addict, but in a non hobby related sense. I try to keep my BCD fun, well... BCD! *lol*

I've never been a fan of crossing the lines of my personal and play life, so no reason to micro blog my updates and details. Similarly, I don't want to cross those lines for the gents I see.

Now, if there was a TwitPlay site, geared to the adult community only, I'd be all over both the discussion and marketing possibilities. Imagine the fun flirtations you could have with anyone anywhere in the world!

Ohh... now that's hot!
