Ya, those two I didn't know for sure. Having just read The Kite Runner, I got two questions right.

Here's a test I got in an email from my sister. It was fun. Soooo, just how smart are you? Check it out.

I scored 24 and was disappointed. One question I timed out on and several I knew were a mistake but timed out before I could click the right answer. You'll choose answers from a multiple choice format. Don't skip any questions.

Be ready with your cursor and don't focus on the timer.

You will also end up feeding a lot of people who need it.

Does that mean that I am grammatically gifted, or just a perv??

and fun, and challenging, and it's for real!!! thanks mr. F, I'm going to pass this thing around like my sister at a kegger :-)

First......thanks for confirming that the site is legit. I admit, I thought it seemed almost too good to be true. I'm delighted to know that it is true.

Second.....I had to clean my monitor off after I sprayed it with coffee when I read "pass it around like my sister at a kegger"!!!!!!! LOL too funny!

You could consider "than" a subordinating conjunction, and say "Mr. Fisher is smarter than I AM SMART" but that's a bit unwieldy, isn't it?

It's so much smoother to just consider "than" a preposition, "me" as the OBJECT of the preposition, and say "clarence37 is smarter than ME".

p.s. - I got 26; I have no idea who did what rap song, and I have only a vague notion of where china is ...

in those situations, I got corrected by my English teachers.

Any PhD's in English out there want to chime in?

I have no idea who sang the rap song, and I've never heard of whatever the beer was LOL

I guess I'm going to have to read the Kite Runner. You are now about the fourth person to mention it to me.

I lived on that stuff for one or two semesters at college.  It's muy bueno.  (Sorry but I don't know Danish.)

But probably not too bad for someone whose high school counselor recommended that he not waste his money trying to attend college.

"It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first."

Whoops - might be funny and appropriate but it’s a little off topic.

"But there are advantages to being elected President. The day after I was elected, I had my high school grades classified Top Secret."

Well, I may not be president.  Unfortunately I did not perform very well in school or on your IO test either (well until my 2nd attempt - that is – LOL).

I'll end with another quote from Reagan: "Surround yourself with the best people you can find, delegate authority, and don't interfere."

He meant very smart, well educated people are available for hire.  Or, as my dad told me, son, engineers are a dime a dozen.  Become a business owner and hire the best people you can find to do the heavy lifting.  I agree whole heartily with both quotes.  As for my score (1st attempt) 21.  Same as my age (plus 2 decades).
