Everyone has a different standard they rate a provider at, my 7 might be your 5. I would say just rate the girls how you feel about the experience.

Keep in mind that you should expect more from a provider at a higher rate. Don't compare my scores of a provider at $500 an hour to one of yours at $180, that will never be an apples to apples comparison.

A 10 in my book...

Here is one man's opinion(not necessarily mine).  Don't agree on some of his examples.  Still it is different rating photos, vs. rating someone who just rocked your world.

I can go with your Hotness Scale.  Of course, then it would be impossible to give a provider a 10 for looks and I've given a few.  The closest would be Vivienne, a Czech girl I recently reviewed. When I took her to dinner (OTC) guys were blatantly gaping at her in front of their wives. There also was Andrea, an amazing looking French Canadian model and stripper I was with in January.  I could not review her because she has no web site or ad.  But, again, guys were walking into walls.
I strongly disagree with the earlier poster who said the numerical ranking depends in part on how much she charges.  I say BS to that.  Do what you want but I judge all the girls I see according to the same scale.  If you don't do that, how does someone reading your review know what to expect?  He's supposed to check her price first and then make some kind of adjustment?  No way.

From my perspective it seems to be in comparison to other ladies that sets the standard.

Once in a lifetime may or may not include "real life" events.  I suppose it has something to do with how practical the lady and the experience fits into his personal lifestyle

The 1-10 scale here at TER have become so generous as to have become meaningless, Tens are given out to average looking women in their fifties who by this scale would be getting sixes at best.

I try to use the descriptions presented by the site for the meaning of each score. After that it is my complete subjective reaction to her looks.

It is unfair to compare PYTs to Cougars, and visa-versa.

IMO it would make much more sense and create much less animus and corruption if the "Appearance" scores defined the fidelity of the provider’s photographs.
IE:
1. Not the woman in the photos
2. Far from the truth
3. 10 years & 25+ pounds ago maybe
4. Face/eyes obscured & body doesn’t match
5. Face/eyes obscured but body matches
6. Total Glamour shots using all the tricks
7. Glamorized but realistic
8. Artfully posed but representative
9. Very fair representation
10. What you see is totally what you get

  Too further better the system the "descriptions" could be assigned arbitrary numbers rather than a "Value added" number.
IE:

I'd like to see some number crunching actuary formulate those scores into an aggregate in which to profiteer, inflate or intentionally/malevolently sabotage a particular provider.

I rate her based on what she advertises as and the value of her service. If she advertises as a thick, athletic girl, I'll rate her on that. If she advertises as a BBW, I'll rate it on that. To do otherwise would be unfair. The one place where I hold all escorts equal is performance. You either give a good performance or not.

But if you're asking why I reviewed Vivienne because it was OTC, you have mis-read my post.  I said dinner was OTC, not the session.  I paid for the session, we got along well and I invited her to dinner OTC.  
I do have pictures of Vivienne and Andrea but they can't be shown on a public board.

Regardless of what anyone claims, its all about emotional response.  All about basil drivers of feelings, emotions.

the only way anyone can judge the value of anything is by their emotional reaction.
