Ladies, do you tend to treat gents differently if they were to buy you a small gift or tip a little extra? (i.e. a little added mileage to the phrase YMMV?)  do you tend to remember the hobbiest better if they did that?

just curious.

While my first instinct is to say "NO WAY!"...

I must admit that one of my favorite clients showed up for the first time with a book.  He stated that, based on my TRB posts he was sure it was one that I would appreciate.  (and it was).

This showed that he was a gentleman, that he'd taken the time to get a feel for who I was, and that he wanted to leave me with a special token of appreciation for our time together.

While he did earn many gold stars that day, it in no way would ever vary the mileage... but yes, I remember the gentleman especially well (Thanks Dick!).

How vain is that! I treat the gents like how they treat me. If they treat me good, then I treat them good.

If someone gives me a tip or a gift I always thank them and I am very appreciative. I always say you don't have to do that, and most gents except one told me to keep it. One actually took his tip back.

As to how do I remember them, I remember all of them.

I do not really care if a client brings me a gift or not; all my clients get me: an honest, discreet, elite provider who is Always Ready to Please, Satisfaction Guaranteed!"

However, my website does state "Extra Gifts and Tips: are not required but appreciated and always remembered in future visits."

This means that if a guy is a repeat client and he has brought gifts before, he may call one day and be a few bucks short. The fact that he bought me something in the past makes me realize that regardless of the gift's cost or how much the tip was, he didn't have to do it but did out of the kindness of their heart. That in mind, I will negotiate my price as long as it is reasonable.
