Okay...I know this is periodically discussed up here.

My question is this:  Many men up here have their favorite providers, often seeing them many times within a month.

Also, many seek to find that elusive GFE that we all talk about so much.  

After reading many reviews and such...I can never figure out why more men don't simply invest the time/money in strippers.  

They are very accessible as potential bed-mates...often not wanting anything more than occasional fun after a good dinner.

Granted, this takes time to build up...visiting a given club often and establishing a rapport with the girls.  But certainly no more money/time than some spend pursuing this hobby.

I personally know people (myself, father-in-law, friend, etc) taht regularly bed girls from local strip clubs with spending little else on them than some free drinks or a nice dinner/drinks type thing?

Anyone?  Bueller?

Two primary issues:

1)  It takes time and money to build up a rapport with strippers, and time is usually at a premium, particularly when you want to get down to business, and;

2)  Strippers are often serious nut jobs who can turn into Fatal Attraction or introduce their low-life "friends" into your world.  Too much underworld potential.  Real discretion can be priceless.

Having said that, I have gone that route myself and it can be a lot of fun.

Well.........thats different! Guess that makes for some interesting conversation over the holiday dinner table. Did you try asking pops what he thought of providers vs. strippers?

There are guys from this board that see both strippers and providers but most see providers for (I think) the following reasons:

1. Convenience........developing relationships takes time and lots of people who see providers don't want relationships.
2. Providers have become more of a 'known' entity with the advent of review boards.
3. $$$$..........a client of mine was a silent partner in a club and he liked to visit clubs to check out what the competitiion was doing (so, he said). For his Christmas present, I'd treat to the club of his choice. The $$$$ that we would go through were comparable to a good escort.

Good question for discussion...I have tried to build up a rapport with a local stripper (in the Albany, NY area) for the past two years (wanted to bang her like you wouldn't believe...she is stunning).  The only thing I ended up doing is spending too much.

At least with a provider you get what you pay for and the reviews on the site are a life saver.  Don't spend good money on poor providers.

Well...first off, my FIL is a pretty young guy.  He married his high school girlfriend the summer they graduated...and had my wife within a year of that.  So he is now divorced...and doing all the things that a single guy might do...but with a bit of money behind him (he owns his own business and is semi-retired).

Yes, I do talk to him about strippers...but to my knowledge he doesn't use providers...or if he does, they are strippers that supplement their income that way.

I agree about the convenience feature...that's why I look to providers for very specific things, in very specific time frames.  But my original question was to address the overall feeling you get, by reading most of the site/boards, that some guys spend quite a bit of time and money on this.  Many have the girls to outcall to their home.  

Doing those things surely invalidates any sort of convenience or concern about discretion....she knows where you live.  And surely a provider has the same ability to bring undesirable people into your world.

Just seemed odd to me....many of the girls DON'T want a boyfriend at all...they like playing the field.  And while you can surely dump tons of money in an upscale club...by frequenting them you quickly see that is NOT the tack to take when trying to bed them....

Hey, I understand your interest, after all, the looks of most strippers tend to be a cut above the typical escort.  What man doesn't dream of taking a stripper home?

However, I think your generalization about strippers wanting to "play the field" is a pipe dream.  You are buying into the age-old myth that keeps men coming back to strip clubs.  Every stripper worth her fake tits works to perpetuate this myth-- that maybe, just maybe, you'll get lucky with her.  

Sure, strippers will tell you they don't want a BF, tell you they're just looking for fun.  Why not?  Good for biz.  Honestly, when you lay down your rap with a stripper, how many have ever told you they are single moms?  How many have said they were married?  How many have said they have a boyfriend? How many have said they aren't interested in you because of your looks? Doesn't that strike you as an odd coincidence that every woman who strips across America is single, no kids, and available? Come on, this is a fantasy you are buying, and they'll tell you what you want to hear to keep the $20s coming.

To claim that it is equivalent in time/money/energy/risk to work the strip clubs for free action as it is to do research here and call a reputable escort is just plain preposterous.  If that were the case, there would be no market for escorts, we would all be out banging the super-fine, free-n-easy women who strip, who just want a good time, no strings attached.  It's just not the reality, these are real women, with hopes and dreams just like women in all walks of life.  Sure, they show their bods for money, but nobody gives it away.

Look, I'm sure men have hooked up with strippers before "off-the-clock" for a one-nighter.  I'm not saying it never happens, but the odds are astronomical.  Let's just hypothesize that you do happen to run across a player, who is horny and just needs a good boning.  Think about it, what will she be looking for?  She is a young, attractive, supple woman, with a club of 25-100 guys to choose from. What do you think her criteria will be for a man?  Charming personality? Funny jokes? The next guy who smiles at her? Suave come-on lines? Big tips?  

No. We've already established that she wants no-strings fun, and money or relationships aren't the issue (again, a virtual impossibility, but go with it).  Now she's thinking like a man, and what do men go on?  Looks. Yup, she'll be looking for one thing, beefka.  Ask yourself, are you that hot?  Are your looks enough to make a PYT just want to jump your bones?  Are you so luminous that she'll pick you out of a room of chumps drooling at her?  Hey, I've been to provider/hobbyist parties, and I'll be the first to tell you, we ain't all George Clooney lookalikes.

Yes, file this one under urban myths, if you just hang out long enough in strip clubs, eventually it will happen to you, she'll take pity (or find you attractive), take you home, and give you the greatest sex of your life, and leave in the morning without so much as demanding that you buy breakfast.  That's the dream that keeps 'em coming back.

I had a good/bad experience with this.

I used to travel from LA to Seattle now and then. I found a great club in Seattle that made the trip a pleasure. It had lots of great strippers and became my favorite club. I got to know a lot of the girls there. I dated one, a really sweet, absolutely gorgeous girl. That was fun, until she met the guy she has since married. Another invited me to go snowboarding with her. I also got to know one of the very hottest girls in the club and mentioned a "private dance" to her several times. She always politely said no, she didn't do that. Then one time I was about to go up there, I called her at home to see when she would be working at the club. She said she would like to see me outside the club. She actually said "I just want that big, fat cock of yours." Who was I to say anything but yes? I did ask how much money she wanted. She answered, "Nothing, I just want to do it." Sounded good to me, so I didn't ask twice about the money. She came over to my hotel there and did me royally. It was a fantastic time. When she left, she gave me a tender kiss and thanked me for a wonderful time. So far, the stuff dreams are made of. I don't know what the attraction was. I'm not that good looking, and I'm more than twice her age. Still, I'd rather look like I look than like George Clooney.

A wonderful dream come true? Well, it was, for the moment. Some time later she asked me to pay her for the evening I described above, and got demanding about it. Well, so much for that dream. Don't know why she changed her mind. She probably talked to one or more of her friends at the club about it and they influenced her that she shouldn't have done me for free. Who knows? But it sure ruined the dream for me. Now I just see providers.
