Are you planning do anything special for your wife  this Valentines day ?

Well, since she was hiding the card she bought at the store, I guess completely forgetting the day would be a bad plan.  We're both very busy these days, so it's possible that it may be a couple days late, but the answer is a definite YES.

As big a contradiction as it may appear to be, I truly love my wife.

One of the advantages of being married is that you know what is important to her.   Valentine's Day had meaning before we were married because it had meaning to others.    Now that we are married 43 years, we both know that the day has no intrinsic meaning and we both skip it.

This year she will be away, and I will be visiting one of my ATFs.

and a couple glasses of wine for her. Three glasses, if I am lucky. Then, hopefully, she will go to sleep.

Probably a card but, my ATF will be getting more and I don't mean that.  Thinking flowers, a little wine and something other than a box of chocolates as she's trying to lose 10lbs.

I'd show up with something more than a hickey from your last provider you saw. ;) hehe.

The classics always work well- dinner, flowers, jewelry... hell, anything to suggest that she means something to you is a good idea. For those of you who choose to forget, God help you. ;) Just a friendly reminder. hehe. I couldn't resist. It reminded me of the Married with Children episode where Al forgot.

a gift card from sephora would be nice, everytime I go in that store , its mobbed with women, and they have a big selection of perfumes, soaps, makeup,
like my son says, its like heaven for women!

I usually send flowers to her job on V-day but one year I came up with something very cool.  There is a barbershop chorus in my area that does a fundraiser every Valentines Day.

For a reasonable amount of money, they send a quartet to your so's workplace where they sing her 2 love songs and present her with roses.  My wife was floored when I did this and as a side benefit it gave here serious bragging rights among her co-workers for a long time.

Going to mediation for a separation agreement. Yes, on vday. I can't wait for the emotional hell, it was her favorite day of the year.
(Don't get me wrong, it's really sad for me too. Esp with kid.)

Is there any way to get a wife to tolerate "hobbying?"  Maybe there's a game that a married couple could play.  If she wins, he must wait to see his provider and if he wins, she must at least accept it, if not participate.  Is there really no such thing as a wife who understands her husband's need for variety and that he CAN separate sex from love much more than she can?  I believe that cheating is generally wrong, but isn't it possible for it to be done openly?

Well, when I brought it up (in VERY vague terms), i was informed that I could have sex with absolutely any woman that would have me.  There was just one thing.  I needed to leave all my earthly possessions behind.
