I have used them, but ONLY in conjunction with reviews.  I have seen ads that intrigued me, but have taken the time to do my homework before taking the plunge, and have eliminated more providers than I've actually seen in this manner.

The one time that I did take a chance and did see a non-reviewed provider, I took one for the team.
