Possible Scenario to Avoid LE (suggestions, comments, modifications greatly appreciated)

She: Posts profile on Yahoo, AOL, MSN  indicating Escort as profession (not sure about postings on TER or similar)

He: Sends email or IM indicating interest

They: Have a series (one to infinity) of communications discussing anything and everything EXCEPT $.

He: Suggests they meet for a date at a particular day and time

She: Suggests a specific motel

He: Offers to bring alcohol, catered dinner with accompanying violins, etc.

She: Describes her mode of transportation and suggests they meet in parking lot or coffee shop or...

He: Reciprocates and confirms

They: Meet at the agreed time and place and decide that they both like (accept) what they see

He: Secures a room at the motel

They: Spend time together discussing the situation in the Middle East, regeneration of protoplasmic antibodies or whatever else two consenting adults would like to do together

At the end of their time together...

He: Creates a lovely piece of origami using hundred dollar bills, or

She: Suggests he make a donation to the National Endowment for the Arts of which she is a fund raiser or

They: Play Rock Paper Scissors for an agreed cash prize

They: Agree to meet again or

They: Agree not to meet again

They: Both know the other is not LE and even if they were have they broken any laws?

but the guesswork in exactly how Many bills to use in creating the lovely origami can be stressful or disappointing or downright insulting...
the rock paper scissors for an agreed upon prize only works if you are adequately funded in the first place...
what a bummer it would be for everyone if you only had 2 and she Knows she has the info out there that she considers 3 fair

rates are listed on the ter profile, but some people Just Dont Read.
i've my rates and time frames for my lunch and dinner dates on my page and people Still have to ask me uncomfortable questions.

but the meeting out and talking, seeing first if we would enjoy spending time together, i wouldnt work any other way. not only do i limit my LE risk, but i limit my bad reviews by cutting loose the fellows that made a mistake in choosing me :)

i still have an origami frog, that Hops! ... i cant bring myself to unfold it and spend it
:D

a very civilized and witty exchange indeed. but how often do we encounter situations like this?  :)

i would perhaps take exception to the next-to-last line ("agree not to meet again") that failed negotation that is. if a woman was in fact this "cute" and "interesting" i would be likely to just cave in to her price (within reason) and feel ok about it.

although afterwards my cynical better half would take over and convince me that this is all a ruse she plays on purpose (to ensnare men into an intimate situation where they're not likely to back down once they're in her presence). which would then argue to always try to establish the price before hand if possible.

for the "loser" ... you're damned if you negotiate and your damned if you don't!

I'm not sure just how serious your post was, but, I'm sorry to say that your idea wouldn't work. Keep something VERY important in mind: just because it makes sense to you; seems logical, right, cautious, etc. does NOT mean that you will avoid being arrested by LE. I will tell you two stories, both from my town, both true..
There's a single mom of 2 little kids. She's 42, works part time at a tourist attraction, and she gets a call from someone who was interested in making a date. She is being very cautious and asks to meet and talk first. He says how about now, and she says perfect because she's just getting off work and would like to meet him in the parking lot, which was smart: public place, where she works, etc.
He arrives, parks his car and they stand in the parking lot for awhile, making introductions. He says, lets sit in my car for a minute and talk some more, privately - TO WHICH SHE HESITATES, as all women know better than to get in the car with a perfect stranger, but he forcefully 'pushes' that suggestion on her. She reluctantly gets in the car and sits with the door slightly open and one foot on the ground so she can leave. As soon as she's comfortably seated, he tosses three $100 bills on her lap, and she shrieks - what's that for?? What are you doing?? He says this is the money up front, for what you're going to do with me! And she protests, shrieking, I don't know what you're talking about! I don't want your money and flicks it off her lap, pushing the door open to leave, just as 6 Vice Cops grab her and hand cuff her..She's busted.

Next story. A young, married woman and her girlfriend both go out on the town. Her girlfriend invited a girlfriend, and that girlfriend invited a girlfriend so now there are 4 girls doing a Ladies Night Out thing. They go to a club, are dancing, drinking, having a great time. One of the other girls, whom she has never met before that evening, is getting pretty sloshed and hanging all over the guys, flirting and basically acting stupid. One of the guys she's been dancing with, sits down at a small table with a friend and beckons her to come join them. She dances a little more, drinks a little more and decides to join them. Just then, the married one, tired from dancing decides to sit a bit and goes to the table where the other girl is sitting with two guys. They make some comment about how hot she (the drunk one) is and maybe they could all go to their place (who hasn't had this scene play out???) and party etc, and the drunk one makes some stupid remark like 'sure, but it'll cost ya' and the hand cuffs come out and BOTH girls got arrested.
Now, what difference does it make whether it's right, wrong, entrapment, fair, etc. If you're arrested, you're arrested - the experience isn't any less just because you know you're innocent! $3000 and an almost ruined career later, the married ladies case was dismissed.
There's nothing fair about it, so don't bank that there is..

What was the outcome of the first case, where the lady was in the parking lot?

Boy, the cops in your town are sure searching for things to do.  I guess all the other real crime in town has been stamped out.
