According to the latest poll on TER, 60% of hobbyists rate their looks as a 7-10.   I'm wondering what the ladies would say?  Are 60% of your dates with men who rank 7-10 in looks?  And 7+% of the men who hobby are in the 9-10 category?  Must be a treat when the guy shows up and is a 10!   Or is it only in his mind? ....

Your statement may be true and I do believe some ladies have their favorites as well as the gentleman have their favorites.

Yeah, when I saw those results it would've crushed my ego if I was insecure.  Crap..I'm only a 5-6 & that means I'm uglier than 62% of the rest of my brethern!  Guess it's a good thing I've got a sense of humor.  LOL

Actually I've made a couple of suggestions regarding that contest.  If you check the both suggestions & LA board you'll find we've asked for different categories including size & natural vs enchanced.  One guy has volunteered to take the photos, another to determine cup size, & myself to authenticate if natural or not...still waiting on a 'taste tester'  LOL

So step right up & enter...one never knows!

I think that scoring yourself on appearance is very tough to do. You do not want other to think you are "brown paper bag ugly" and maybe compared to your friends you may look better physically so you give yourself a little higher score. The problem with this is, what is a "10" just like in the review, everybody has their own perception of beauty. When you see someone you automatically decide weather they are "hot or not" however as you get to know them your perception starts to shift. This is not by choice it is natural. So, who at one moment was a 6(plain, cute) by the end of a session or date could climb up to an 8.
I am surprised by the scoring results because most people perception of their own appearance is usually a lot lower( we are harder at judging ourselves than others). I am curious to know what the results would be if the providers scored their own appearance?

Some time ago, I called a lady to perhaps make an appointment.  She commenced to put me through an entrance exam that was a little humiliating.  Ladies, I feel your pain!

"How old are you?  I hate older men"
(Me: how young can I get away with?)
"Are you good looking?"
(Me:  if I say yes, what will she do when I show up?)
"Are you hairy? I hate hairy men."
(after I apologize for dropping the phone: no, certainly not.  Well, wait a minute, how hairy is hairy?  Most men have SOME hair, yes?)
"Let me think about it.  Maybe I will see you."

I know, I know.  Women get asked humiliating questions all the time.  I should feel lucky I wasn't asked to rate my performance.

...probably bogus, or humiliating info in the survey on looks?  Crap, I was honest before...but to ask for a 'performance' rating?  I'd be embarassed to rate myself, & probably even more embarassed with a public rating by the gals I've met!  Maybe one about being a decent guy with an OK personality??  LOL

I don't intend this to sound sexist, so please refrain the flames ladies...it's really not all that bad.

Based on my own experience here & in 'regular' life, I think that in general men are more accepting of their own appearance than ladies.  Probably that's something that has been perpetuated by a primarily male dominated society.  Sure, except for those egotists (of both sexes) among us we probably all tend to be more critical of our own appearance than others are...I know I seldom see a photo of myself that makes me think I look good.  

But as one example of what I said before regarding personal feelings of the importance of looks, I know one provider who gets rave reviews on her appearance (with which I happen to agree 100%), yet she's told me that she feels she looks, other than her face, are pretty ordinary...that ain't true at all, but maybe it's one of the things that keeps her so grounded & such a down-to-earth really neat person---something I love about her as much as anything else.  If she happens to read this, she'll know I'm talking about her.

There's an old saying that goes "beauty is skin deep, but ugly goes all the way to the bones."  I mention this becasue for those if who can recall high school or college, chances are you can recall people with extraordinary good looks who thought they could get by on that alone...really shallow people who otherwise you wouldn't give the time of day other than just to be polite.

And Mara, as to the other post in this thread...I'd blush if I could remember how.  LOL

Since I am neither conceited or looking for a life partner amongst the pool of men that contact me for my service's.  I really don't give a rat's tush what my clients look like.  What I do care for are cleanliness, manners, maturity and personality.

What I can say is that when I entered this calling several years back, I was surprised at the type of men that called. I always imagined men who paid for "professional services" to be quite decrepit and desperate....NOT the case.  I don't post here to inflate anyone's ego or be anyone's # 1, so I can say, even if you are what some term as "butt ugly" ("to me nobody is butt ugly" physically all though I come in contact with people with butt ugly attitudes every day), I really wouldn't give a rat's tush.  As long as you have the qualities I require and the cash, you are most welcome to my company and time.

I believe you are right.  As the old saying goes "A man doesn't realize that a woman is beautiful until he falls in love and then he realizes she is beautiful but he had not noticed before.  I can picture a guy starting date thinking the lady is a 6 and by the end thinking she is an 8.  I suspect the same thing can occur when ladies evaluate men.

I went with 6.5 for me with style points for being personable, caring, and freshly showered.  The Canadian judge (bless her) gave me a 9.  Thanks Keri!  It was really wonderful!

This question really made me laugh.

Half of my clients are average.

The other ones, well they are not. (A couple of above average and some well, thank god they have great personalities.)

The one thing that most need to do is this:
