As long as it's not a jungle down there, there is no reason to completely go bare.  My preference is for neatly trimmed landing strip or triangle above the lips, but as long as I don't have to eat hair while doing oral, trimmed ring of hair around the lips is alright too.  Completely shaved pubes detract from the overall sexiness of a woman IMO.

But if a lady has wild jungle bush going on down there she can have her dog lick it because I sure ain't.

is sexy. I prefer a little hair down there, because I want to be with a grown-ass woman and not a little girl. Pubic hair is one of nature's puberty graduation gifts.  

As for an increased risk of infection.. Guess I shouldn't shave my face either? I won't argue there isn't a logical theoretical increase in risk, but I'll bet it isn't even consequential enough for anyone to bother to study seriously or the opinion piece article author would have cited the study. Logical truth and reality do not always intersect.

For example, as far as pubic hair being a defense against bacteriological infection, it is obvious that the pubes create much more area and a warm moist environment for bacteria to grow.  I used to have frequent rashes until I started shaving down there.

Also the assertion that pubic hair is needed to cushion the area is an absurdity.  How often do we take blows there anyway?

The relief from hairs in the back of the throat would be reason enough to shave in any case.

That said, I maintain that natural bushes do look nice when not too bushy, and also feel very nice against the cock.  On the other hand, a well shaved vagina is also quite alluring and a pleasure to go down on.  The trick is to be sure it is always freshly shaved so as to avoid stubble.  Each to their own.

I'm surprised the author is unaware or chose not to mention what most article pertaining to pubic (and underarm) hair have to say about the usefulness of same:  That is, it creates a convenient way for infants to cling to their mother while they were on the move.  Today humans use Snugglies.

One benefit of the prevalence of completely bare genitalia is the almost complete eradication of pediculosis pubis,  better known to many of you as crabs.   As such,  PETA has announced plans to hold a protest rally to demand the arrest and incarceration of those of you who have willfully and shamelessly destroyed the natural habitat of the  indigenous American pubic louse population,  leading to its eventual extinction.
