END OF MESSAGE

I'm inspired by the post below on wondering about women we see at airports . . . for those of us who travel a lot (as I do), have you ever had an unexpected hotel encounter with a provider?  I'm not talking about the usual way we meet providers at hotels, or planned stays at hotels known to be provider hangouts (which I'll admit I've done), but times that the gods seemed to have been smiling down and you ran across a provider without even working hard.

It's happened to me at least twice.  The first time, checking into a very expensive hotel in Cincinnati, I was behind a nice looking young brunette who was also checking in.  Something didn't quite fit - I think she was dressed a little too nice for her age, and maybe because she was checking in alone, but something said "provider."  Anyway, I got checked in and logged into the net with my laptop.  After a quick look at TER I pulled up Eros and there she was, listed as "visiting."  Even though there weren't any reviews I couldn't resist, so I e-mailed her.

A few minutes later she replied, and we played e-mail tag for a few minutes.  She finally told me where she was staying and asked if I'd like to come visit her.  I decided to have some fun and replied, "your room or mine - I'm on the XXth floor!"  I was afraid I had spooked her because it took a few minutes for her to reply, but the message came back, "what room?"  I replied, and just a few minutes later there was a knock on the door and there she was.  We had a nice laugh about almost bumping into each other checking in, and we had a nice session.

The second time, I was checking in to a hotel in Fort Lauderdale.  I had gotten registered and was headed down the hall to my room.  I saw a gorgeous blonde standing in the hall, waiting at a room door.  She was reading a fashion magazine and trying to look nonchalant, but my provider radar went off strong.  As I got closer I realized she was waiting at the door next to my room.  We said hello as I let myself into my room, but I couldn't come right out and ask her, so I was afraid my chance had passed.

Within about 15 minutes or so, though, I knew I was right - the sounds coming from next door were unmistakable.  I debated how to make a move - leave my door cracked and wait until I heard he leave, then try to catch up with her in the hall; wait in the lobby to see if I could see her as she left (too public?) - all the options seemed either creepy or stalkerish.

So I decided on a direct approach.  I wrote a note on the hotel stationery and addressed the envelope to "the lady of the house."  I opened my door a bit and slipped the note under the door of the room next door.  I didn't give my room number but I did give my cell number, and hoped she would call.

Precisely an hour after she entered the room next door, I heard the door open.  After a couple of minutes my cell phone rang and it was her.  She was a little uncertain but I assured her that I wasn't out to bust her (or worse), I just wanted to meet such a beautiful woman.  She asked me to come down to meet her in the lobby bar for a drink, just too make sure I was ok.  We had a couple of drinks and she was a wonderful lady.  We were both too tired for an enocounter that night (and I wasn't in the mood for sloppy seconds), but we agreed to a dinner date the next night.  I walked her out to get a cab and she gave me a nice kiss goodnight.  The next night (and the next, it turned out) were fantastic encounters, and I saw her several more times on later trips to Fort Lauderdale.

How about it, guys (and ladies) - tell us about your hotel encounters . . .

was in my room on the phone chatting with a friend about my schedule apparently with my voice a little louder than I had thought.  Several hours later my room phone rang and a gentleman introduced himself as my neighbor next door and wondered if he could see me.  Ooohhh creepy!  Lonely guy, stalker or LE who knows but OMG I had never been so happy that I was leaving first thing in the morning and not working anymore.  I of course declined much to his dismay but he had not seen my face yet so I thought it the safest thing to do!

Makes a hard case for speaking softly at all times don't ya think?

BTW was this anyone on TER as I would love to know if this rings a bell with anyone! :)

if you had slipped a note under my client's door when I was making an outcall visit, I would have considered it a breach of his privacy as well as mine.

Just because you hear something going on next door doesn't give you free rein to insert yourself (or try) into another hobbyist's private arrangement. Would you like a similar occurrence when you're having a intimate encounter that you planned and anticipated? I doubt it.

And I'm not even mentioning how weirded out I would feel, being on the receiving end of such a note. Suffice it to say that I would be out of there in a flash, and your cell number would have gone into my alert file.

There are ways of doing things, and to my mind, that's not one of them.

Kind of off topic but not

when i was eating breakfast one morn in an Albany hotel - Some business man was on his laptop looking at TER -

Of course i recognized the site right away-

He saw me looking over at him and didnt even put down his screen -

He musta thought i was one of those dumb civvie people - rofl

After my breakfast was done - i went to his table

I said to him - Look up CiaraHasFun on there ROFLMAO

( i was leaving the hotel that morning anyhow)

His face turned all kinds of colors-

Recently a provider friend of mine was  at a hotel business center  printing out some documents for civvieland while on tour...

Some guy was on another computer looking at EROS...

He could have been under cover LE or FBI.

lines - but I do appreciate yours... lol!

my hotel story - once I was in competition for a high level gov't job.  the head hunters engaged were interviewing people from all over.  They stayed in hotels... and had you come to them... for my interview I was told to go to a specific hotel, once there call the lady (no kiding it was a woman) and get the info as to where the interview would occur.... so I did- but as I sat in the lobby, sipping a tonic.... I wondered - what would I say if LE walks up to me... with my cell phone in hand....  now I use that in my mind as to why I am in the hotel - with the cell phone in hand....

If someone had slipped an envelope with his number under the door of an appt., I'd be amused, probably a little freaked out and wouldn't wait long before I told all the ladies about it. I'd immediately think you were either LE or a stalker. That's just me, though... I don't think it's typical that someone would slip their number under the door for the provider of the house, though.

It's kind of strange that you spend your time provider hunting among the civvie world (and not online) but to each their own. I hope that your instincts don't lead you to crashing someone else's sting or anything...

I was checking in to my hotel and was a bit flustered as my flight arrived a bit late and I had a dinner date to get ready for.

It was spring and I was wearing white capri pants with a floral pattern up the side, a white mesh sweater (classy, not trashy--believe it was DKNY so don't let the mesh throw you off LOL) with a white tank beneath.

There was a line forming behind me as I got upgraded and there was only one person behind the desk.

Once I got my key card, I rushed to the elevator to get to my room and prepare for dinner.  Before the elevator could close, the man standing directly behind me in line stuck his foot between the closing doors and jumped in with me.
He pushed a floor higher than mine.  That is...say my floor was 20, he pushed floor 29.

*Note....this was a few years ago and I wasn't as "street smart" as I am now, if you will.

When I got off of my floor, he got out as well, but went down the hallway in a different direction.  So I had a HINT of suspicion, but just wanted to get ready for my date.

In my rush to insert my keycard, I dropped it, and YES! it actually fell underneath my room door and just a few inches into my room.  So I got on my hands and knees, pulled a pen out of my purse, and scraped it out from under the door.

But in the process, elevator guy walked by and said, "Sexy thong."

I ignored his comment and rushed into my room and began to unpack and get ready to hop in the shower when the phone calls began.  (I was in room 2009, so any hotel phone could connect to 2009 and start babbling away.)  I don't need to go into details of what he said, do I?  Well, I ignored the calls, took my shower and was about to get dressed when I noticed a piece of paper under my door.

He wrote me a two page letter accusing me of being a blank-blank-blank and went into detail about how he wanted to tear off my thong and etc...etc...But he knew what kind of girl I was and what I wanted from men.

WTF??!!

I called security to escort me out of my room and put me on a different floor and gave them the letter and told them about the phone calls.  They couldn't prove anything on anyone, as I really didn't get a good look at him, and apparently the man behind me in line walked out of the line when it was his turn (the next person to be serviced after they looked up my arrival and time frame was a woman with twins.) There is no way to trace room-to-room or any other phone calls coming within the hotel phone system.

I really need to write my memoirs as I have tons of these crazy stories to share.  A number of you here have met me, and I don't believe I appear to be anything extraordinary that would point out "provider."  Maybe, as one man said to me, they really CAN simply smell us out, as innocent as we appear?

Glad I can laugh about it now!
