twice in the last couple of days i've seen ads on my regional boards for touring ladies which advertise a specific rate in the ad.

but upon further research to the lady's web site and/or ter page or p411 page, her rate is different, usually lower.

the ad does not specifically mention "this is my touring rate" or any other type of special classification.  just simply X per hour, when other places show her asking for X - $100 per hour.

(for those not versed in middle school algebra, i mean her posted ad price less $100).

as we say on the general board:   thoughts, if any?

If she is going to visit LA from a smaller market may just be to cover excess costs/
You could reach out through P411 with a date request per her profile and see what how she responds/
If she is one who does not require extra screening may find it is worth the lower rate.
On the other hand you ould end up on DNS with her/

When I ask they usually say just give me the lower amount and I will usually tip so they recoup some of the money lost. You can always assume the higher rate is what they want. Only once has the women demended the higher fee.

Of course, the answer always has been the higher one...lol. If she's posted it in a current ad, it probably means either she's raised her rates and hasn't gotten around to updating all her profiles or has a higher rate when touring your city due to higher costs (even if she hasn't said so in the ad).  

But then, I'm only speculating.

Personally, I pick the lower price, ask if it is the correct one and leave it up to her to clear up any doubt about the matter. If I decide "after" seeing her she deserves a few bucks more then at MY own discretion I may choose to add a tip.  

Unlike many guys here, my "default" is not to pay the higher price any more than I choose to pay a higher price for any good or service I purchase. You can always add a tip if she blows you away, you can't take anything back if you get subpar service.

i always assume the lower rate, like gaga (as usual, gagambler, for all his hooker glory, is the only one who actually gets the business side of this).  

and if the lady says she's charging the higher rate, i will politely point out that her web site (or whatever) says the lower rate.  to me, this is not negotiating.  this is demanding that a posted rate be honored.

i'm also in business for myself, and i advertise, and i make sure that if i raise my rate for something specific it is reflected in all my advertising.  if indeed she is asking for a higher rate for touring, that should be reflected in her ad ("touring rate," "rates for this visit/city," etc).  this is a business, and everything should be clear and above board.

i'm not going to pay for somebody's unprofessional and sloppy business habits.

if she insists that the higher rate is in effect, i will reconsider my need to see her.  not mainly because of the extra money involved, but it occurs to me that someone who is not attentive to her business practices may also not be so attentive to her job, ie, me.

iow, a sloppy business woman is a sloppy provider.  and there's only one place i like sloppy in this whole endeavor

If a provider posts a touring ad and clearly posts her rate in the ad, why is there any confusion? Blaming a provider for your lack of basic comprehension is not sloppy. Do you honestly expect a provider to list her rates for every single city she tours on her website?  

Some cities like NYC, LA, and San Fran have way higher lodging/food/transportation costs than other cities. Typically I've seen ladies increase their donation because of that. If you don't like it, move along. But it sounds like you're just mad because you want her lower rate, so you accuse her of being sloppy.

a know a guy who told he would not see a provider up here in boston because she kept on playing with her pricing too much, advertising all kinds of specials sometimes like $200 off her website rate...he did not want to be a sucker and overpay and did not want to underpay and get crappy service ...

 
 

And thus, there is more than one way to LOOK at the situation you outlined.  More than one perspective and interpretation.  

For instance,  I could leap to the conclusion that you interpret the scenario you detailed in the way that best suits YOU ( i.e. she posted multiple rates without explaining why, and naturally you want the lower rate so you're going to consider her rate-posting tactics to be "sloppy"), but I know that isn't necessarily the case.  You could be the type, like me, who likes everything spelled out as specifically as possible.  

Yet consider that many others already feel that lots of providers' ads are too wordy as is.  To them, a rate posted in a touring ad means that is the rate for that location. Simple, done.   Each provider should use trial and error to determine what works best for HER.  Different strokes for different folks.
  Well, we all know what happens when one assumes lol.  
  Many/most ladies who tour also have a "home city".  The rate posted on her website is her "home city" rate.  The rate you see posted in her VISITING AD is her VISITING RATE. That's the sort of thing that many would consider "goes without saying".  If she insists upon the rate stated for your location, she is absolutely honoring her posted rate..... for YOUR CITY.     Again, there are multiple ways to view this.  You say "sloppy" while others will consider it "minimalist"..... which is very attractive to many men.  

I'm continually tweaking my website and ads based upon feedback.  As I already mentioned, it's in my nature to define things in detail and as clearly as I can to avoid confusion.  Unfortunately, lots of potential clients find this to be off-putting.  Having a large Rates Graph with a column for each city, and a line for each time-allotment was apparently too much..... so edited it.  Made it simpler.  Yet there's still alleged confusion.  (I say "alleged" because I often don't believe they're confused as to my rates, they just want the lowest one they see even though it's not for their city..... the "oh I didn't move my eyeballs slightly to right to see what was clearly posted there!" routine lol)

Some ladies get tired of what they perceive as the bargain-hunters and just raise their rates for EVERY city to the highest rate they'd been charging.  And maybe let a few regulars pay their previously-lower rate.

 
Just like anything else, no rate-posting method is going to work for all the people all of the time.

the ad doesn't say touring rates, or "rates for [your city]."

the doesn't list it as any kind of special or specific rates.

also, and i didn't mention this in the op, one of the woman's hourly rate was higher in the ad than the web site, however her hour and half rate and two hour rate were exactly the same.

so wtf yes i hold women responsible for consistency.  a hour is higher on the ad, but two hours is not?  sorry but how do i know it's her touring rate?

in my business, if i post $X amount per unit i create, but when you call me i say it'll cost you $2X, will you happily pay that to me with no questions?

sorry but if you ladies are going to ask for donations, then please act like business women and be consistent and clear.  otherwise expect confusion from your customers.

I am just wondering if you have had posted discounts in the past and if you have, have any of your customers asked if you would be honoring that if your rates where different than what was posted on your website? If asked how do you usually respond to that question since it is constantly reiterated on your website that any mention of this will terminate the session.

and confirm that is the rate she expects. Caveat: Confirm rate after screening.

Otherwise, I always use the website rate and confiirm any discounts (like a P411 discount)

If she is running an ad on TER and you contact her through TER, which may very possibly be the only way he knew she was touring his city, the price on the ad he responded to is the price you need to honor.  

Now OTOH, if she is running multiple ads about her tour and they either have different prices or refer the reader back to her website for pricing that does NOT mention the higher rate, in that case I would ask if the lower rate applies, but after rereading the OP I have come away pretty well convinced that her "touring ad" is what he responded to, and that he only found her "other rates" after doing some research on her and even Jack would agree that her touring ad, whether or not she specified a "touring rate" is still the rate she expect and the rate he should expect to pay.

said city. Ladies who regularly travel to certain cities usually list multiple rates on their website for each city. If in doubt--ask her.
