First, he would have to remember that he is a client, not a lover, and therefore not get all bent out of shape about her seeing other clients.

Also, he would have to be honest with himself regarding his true feelings, and the fact that the bloom always withers at some point and he will want to move on, and not become preoccupied with sticking with his one "true" love because that's what he's always done.

There are probably others, but these are the main things that have to be looked at.

If I find a provider who ranks high in looks, performance, personality & reliability, I will see her exclusively for extended periods of time. This approach can reap great benefits if hobbyist & provider "click", deepening "rapport"
& having both particpants being very comfortable & at ease with each other. However, there can also be pitfalls with the "relationship" morphing
into a "civie" affair with the potential for both parties "crossing boundaries". When that happens, it's time for both parties to "move on".

Is it possible?

Is it just plain stupid?

A hobbyist just seeing one provider.

I'm curious to hear hobbyist and provider's thoughts.

would I call him a hobbyist? no

I think he had desires and needs and met the perfect woman for HIM who met those and that was all he needed...

whats so wrong with that?

...and a man who sees a provider/escort. i define a hobbyist as a man who engages in casual, NSA "sport-fucking" relationships with professionals...and no, such a man would certainly not be "monogamous" to one provider. however there are many men who see providers who do not fit the hobbyist mold. they are seeking to have a specific need met, usually one that is not physical or at least not entirely so, and if one woman fulfills that need then they do not look elsewhere. all of my regular clients fall into that category (which is to say, 99% of the clients i have ever had as i only engage in long-term relationships). in the case of a couple of single clients, i am their only sexual partner period and have been for a very long time. it makes me feel quite fulfilled and honored that i am able to meet their needs...that's the ultimate goal in all this, after all.

Really, if you could clarify the timeframe.  Are you talking monogamous for years ? a few months? or a few weeks ?

For those of us who need to be with someone extremely discrete and trustworthy, it is very possible. Add to that, that her incall is very discrete, her looks and performance are great, and typically, the trust level increases, enhancing the chemistry. Of course, things can change, and that's when you move on.

Sure it's possible.  I've been in the community since the mid 1990's. I've been fortunate to have several providers provide me my needs for a period of years each. I have retired several! :)

Obviously variety is not a huge need of mine. Over time I value the friendship that develops. I value the comfort level with a provider. I don't need the adrenaline rush of a new person every week. But occasionally I had visited another. Helps keep perspective which I think is important.

My current ATF provides for all my needs and has done so for 4 years. And if I feel the need for some variety, I simply have her bring one of her girlfriends along. It's nice!

But I know this is far from typical in the hobby. I think preferring mature (>40) providers may play a factor. Being in my 50's, it's easy to share our mutual life experiences.

How many ladies a man sees depends a lot on what he is looking for and what he finds.

I was quite monogymist with one lady for a few years until she retired, and would have been very happy to stay that way.  She fulfilled everything I was needing.  In that case I think I would have been stupid to spend that time with another because it would have been suboptimal for me.

I acknowledge there are others in this business for whom the variety is exactly what they are looking for so for them it would be foolish.

Why the angry face?  Are you trying to imply you are angry at those with a particular point of view on this?

If that's one Provider, or a variety of Providers or a many Providers at the same time...it's what you want out of the Hobby.  I would caution against falling in love with your One.

That kind of monogamy reaps no benefit that I can see.  Except maybe she is less likely to get upset when you are caught cheating.

Never planned on it but I've been with the same girl for nearly 5 months and I don't foresee that changing any time soon.

Good answer! It can be very beneficial to both.

I've certainly thought about limiting it to just one.  There are few exceptional providers out there compared to the many marginal ones it seems.

I don't think it's a great idea, a lot of attachment will be the result then weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth
best to spread it around and stay casual.

on the particular provider and hobbyist.

when something works well i tend to repeat. when someone starts to get bored (or worse.....) it's time to move on. fortunately i've become much more sensitive to various cues that the provider may be getting bored (or worse...).  often cues are all you have to go on. this is since only some providers are nonBS and can tell you when _they_ need a break. others are so into providing an illusion that straight talk is impossible.

either a strong preference for some familiarity (or perhaps first visit nerves) can be a powerful incentive to stay with the tried and true.

i'm not PMable, BTW.
